Title: Love this grinder!
Review: I was dubious about this grinder at first as I'd tried another that just didn't seem to do much, but my dog's nails were getting too long between groomer visits so I had to try something. I've tried high quality clippers, but my dog dislikes them and I get very nervous about cutting the quick so I'd been putting off doing anything about her nails until now.Happy to say that this grinder really works! Fairly comfortable to hold and relatively quiet. It actually only took one session for my dog to get a little used to it, and with lots of treats she got through her first trim. My dog's nails are about medium sized, so the top slot of the guard is perfect for trimming without having to worry about the rest of the grinding wheel hurting me or her. The lights are also way more useful than I expected them to be; my dog has a few dark nails so avoiding the quick is a little tricky, but the lights allow me to quickly check my work and stop as soon as I see the telltale black dot.I'm also very happy that the motor seems to have an auto-off feature, as I was only one nail down when an errant piece of cotton got caught in the wheel and the motor shut off. I was worried I had already ruined the thing, but flipping the power off and back on had it working just fine.Also very easy to clean, the guard and grinding wheel come off so you can give them a quick wipe with a microfiber cloth after each session. If I had one issue, it's that the unit is a little heavy, but honestly it's only a minor complaint and I can understand if a heavy duty motor is needed.Hoping for many more smooth nail sessions!

Title: Makes doggy pedicures easy
Review: The grinder works well. Best thing about it is that it's very quiet, so doggy doesn't get spooked. I feel more comfortable using thia grinder than the clipper -- it allows you to control the nail shortening process so you don't worry about cutting the quick by accident. Ouch!

Title: Solid and works great!
Review: Years ago I bought a cheap nail grinder to see if I could do this on my own and if my dogs were receptive to it as well. My dogs tolerate it and I no longer have the worries of cutting into the quick. So I finally broke down and bought a much more solid and expensive unit. This unit is quiet and powerful and gets the job done in half the time. I love it, however, my one complaint is that it does not go in reverse. I got used to filing my dogs nails a certain way but this one spins in the opposite direction which is so unnatural from the way I’ve been doing this. I am extremely disappointed with this one feature. But it’s a great tool and gets the job done and I highly recommend.

Title: Dog nail trimmer works well.
Review: I've tried to trim my dogs nails with clippers many times and once with another grinder. She would be so stressed about the process and pull back. Even at the vet office, it takes 2 people to do her nails. I read reviews and information on this one and thought I'd give it a try. I am glad I did. I now have no issues trimming her nails. The noise is very minimal and the light helps so much. Very easy to use. I love the performance of the product and I feel it's safe having the shield there.

Title: Quiet and works great!
Review: Proud Momma! The last time I took my girl to the vet I asked them to do her nails. She hates getting them clipped and I hurt her one time and it freaked us both out. So after getting poked and prodded and sitting on a metal table they took her away from her Mommy to the back surround by strangers and held her tightly to cut her nails. Her quicks are very long and her nails are very dark. So I’m sure they cut her quicks. When they brought her back to me she was so stressed out and they said she has so much anxiety that they will no longer do her nails without putting her to sleep. This bothered me so much so I bought this nail trimmer from Amazon. For many times I had her sit next to me and just turned it on and rubbed it on her legs and paws without actually grinding the nails. After several days I did one nail and praised her and she got a treat afterwards. Next day I did it again. Next day I did 2 nails. Not a lot. Just a little on each one.Well today I did all 4 paws!!!! I’m so proud of my girl! We have a long ways to go to get them down where they should be but I’m so proud of her! My beautiful smart baby!
