Review: A NOTICE TO ALL RAY CHARLES FANS:If you don't have THIS album, you'll be wasting your time AND a lot of money!THIS particular make of "THE ULTIMATE COLLECTION" doesn't lie!!! You'll go from the old to the new, from laughter to tears; from wanting to dance a bar move to feeling like pattin' yo' feet or dancing to praise the Lord. This album simply gives you an HONEST look at the "Life of A Legend." A man with such "a gift" of expression but also a "God-given" miracle in his fingers to master the piano and, somehow, gently walk right into your heart with his unique voice and ways of expression. Ray Charles has done what, I believe, God intended: To come into this world simply to leave us with many of "the miracle melodies" that would later become "medications to maintain the mind..." Though, some of them, only work best when "taken" within HIS voice tone. (lol) Songs like: "Georgia," or "Come Rain Or Come Shine" ...and many others. Title: What A Stud!
Review: I put off buying this CD set for a long time because I just knew there couldn't be 75 songs Ray Charles could have sung that were THAT good. I was wrong. I have only heard a bare few hits from Ray Charles since I was a kid. When I was a kid he was on the radio all the time and I really enjoyed listening to him and tried to imitate him in a 10 year old voice. I'm telling you right now there are very few singers who will get in your heart like Ray Charles can. This set is just so so good! You will love it. Ray Charles was THE MAN and those groups who supported him were awesome! No matter what kind of music you listen to please do yourself a favor and buy and play these CD's. They will change you!
