Title: Just what we wanted!
Review: We like to use this spinner to clean lettuce from our garden, but we also wash any lettuce we purchase at the store. The bowl is stainless steel and is very durable. Our last salad spinner had a plastic bowl and it cracked. This spinner works great and spins the lettuce almost completely dry. With the drain holes on the top, it is so convenient to just tip it over the sink to drain the water out, without having to disassemble the spinner.

Title: One heck of a sturdy salad spinner
Review: This replaces a Cuzin art salad, spinner about the same size, but made out of plastic from top to bottom. The main clear container cracked in two places with normal use. It is always hand washed and dried carefully. I tried to glue the plastic together, but it didn’t hold up for more than 10 days or so. I limped along using it, but when I saw this one with a stainless steel container I knew that would last a lot longer. The push button spinning device is very clever. The Cuzin art had to handle that you spun around and it worked fine. I had 2 of the kind that has a rope pull to spin the basket but the rope is the weak link and I don’t recommend that type since friction eventually frags the rope and it breaks.

Title: Great Salad Spinner but cannot replace flux-capacitor
Review: I was an OXO guy all my life and worked through at least 3 OXO salad spinners all of which cracked or split under the strain of my salad prep. So I bought this one for 2/3’s the price and it works great. It’s sturdy, it locks, it spins and you can drain through the cover if that’s your thing. It revolves quickly enough to achieve Super-positioning, but I haven’t yet calculated the orbital mechanics for launch. Cannot replace flux capacitor in DeLorean, but can be used as adjunct to Mr. Fusion for green leafy vegetables.07/24 update: the top spinner part developed mold inside the housing. Tried to dissassemble to clean it, but it broke and I can’t put it back together. Getting an OXO. Buy once, cry once.
