Title: What a Writer!
Review: Stella shoots straight from the hip and tells it like it is! If you want a mushy plot and unrealistic, flowery speech, then this is not the book for you. However, if you enjoy a story that has some grit and edge, along with characters that have depth, you'll enjoy this novel. Stella certainly has a gift for creating interesting characters and realistic dialogue.

Title: Reading it now
Review: I am reading this book now, and it is developing very nicely. I would have liked more on how the h pulled herself out of her terrible situation, but perhaps that comes out later in the book. Stella Cameron can be counted on for a good read.

Title: Hard to finish
Review: I found this book hard to finish at times. I had figured out pretty much the ending by the middle of the book. Why Rae felt she had to leave her little girl to pursue Dallas Calhoun is beyond me. How she even married John in the first place knowing so little about him and blindly believing everything he said is also curious. The small town character interactions were just plain unrealistic.

Title: The Best Revenge
Review: An intriguing beginning captured my attention and several twists and turns kept me guessing however, too much attention was given to minor characters that didn't add to the story.Dallas falls head over heels for Rae in an unbelievable amount of time and seems clueless to the dysfunctional family life surrounding him.Even so, it could have earned an additional star if the ending hadn't been so rushed and unrealistic.

Title: What little girl?
Review: Stella Cameron is an author that I frequently read, and like many of her books, the real strength of this story is in the plotting. Lots of interesting twists and a surprise (pretty much) ending. It's very readable with good pacing and a plot that propels you along, BUT... My problem is with the characters-- I agree with other reviewers that the romance between Hero/heroine was not believable because he was too much of a jerk in the beginning and through much of the middle. Also, I had a very hard time with the total absence of the child throughout the story. In fact, the story could easily have been told without the child, IMO. I felt that the villains were painted a very monochrome black-- no redeeming human characteristics for a more complex emotional involvement on the part of the reader. And I have to say that Cameron frequently uses "deviant sex" to both titillate the reader and label the villains as BAD. I enjoy sensual novels, but I am getting tired of this technique.

Title: Not Worth Buying
Review: When I read The Best Revenge, it kind of confused me. The two main characters were always talking about this money that was stolen. When some progess was made, the money thing came back. The heroine never trusted the hero. There was also a lot of sex from people who were not the main characters. it wasn't romance because the people didn't love or even like eachother. It was just a way of munipulating people for other needs. I thought it was just trashy and unneeded. It was written to give some cheap thrills, but it just grossed me out. I think the book would have done just find without those scenes.I could not tell how or why the two main characters, Dallas and Rae, felt about eachother. They talked in circles. it got really annoying. I don't recommend this book to anyone. Stella Cameron really disappointed me.
