Title: Solid gaming experience
Review: This feels like an 80s game that modern gamers will enjoy.It's accessible to experienced and non experienced board game players. It is definitely cutthroat,which is one of the reasons I like it so much. Lately boardgames have gotten away from that, games that punish other players are frowned upon. It's a breath of fresh air.I got it on sale under 20$ but it's worth 30$, has good replayability.This reminds me of the old boardgames we used to play and a feel of a new tile placement,meeple game.Honestly one of the few games in my collection that I could show to anyone and it work, old ,young, inexperienced, experienced everyone

Title: Great cutthroat casual game
Review: I grew up playing Survive in the 80s, so I was thrilled to see this remake. I highly recommend the game -- easy to learn, lots of replay value, hilariously cutthroat. I don't recommend this for 2 players, but it's great with 3+. There is strategy, but a lot of randomness too. My board game group typically plays very intense skill-based games, so this is a good occasional diversion that is lighthearted but has just enough strategy.

Title: Better than the original mostly.
Review: I like the replacement of the whale for the kaiju. Adds a lot more strategy to the game. The boats are now rafts and look rather bland.I'm not a fan of the new meeples. For some reason they are wearing hats and look silly. The monsters however are an upgrade and now have 2 tone pain job, making them look more realistic.The board is now free of player tips and gives you more immersion while playing. The new tiles are easier to distinguish... However, I'm not a fan of the art for the sand tiles. The 3 palm trees make it feel like it's cut and paste. They should have done better with placement to give an optical illusion of blending in.Overall, I like it.

Title: Love This Game!
Review: Such a simple game/concept, but fun to play. This is perfect for folks that like strategy, as well as casual players. Both can play and enjoy the experience.It feels like an amped up version of one of the simple family games from the 70s with a much fresher look and feel.The game took 4 folks of varying game experience 1 hour to play casually. We had a lot of fun and will play many times.I recommend this game purchase.

Title: What an absolute blast
Review: Played just 2 players, me and my Fiancee. Had a blast, easy rules, ruthless gameplay. She whooped me. Rules were quick and easy. It says 45 minutes but it took us closer to a little over an hour, but we had fun the entire time. Will be playing this one at game night with friends.
