Allee-Sutton Hethcoat reprises her role as Coach Courtney Smith-Donnelly from Remember The Goal in The Perfect Race. She takes her coaching wisdom to the track and works with a female athlete at a small Christian college who tries to overcome long odds and win a national title in the 800 meter run. Coach Donnelly's training methods and teachings about life both line up with the concept that in order to win...you first have to lose.

Title: Great Christian Movie!
Review: “The Perfect Race” is a great Christian movie! It is an entertaining sports movie 👟 that presents the gospel ✝️ in a clear, concise, and understandable way.“The Perfect Race” is the second movie in the “Remember the Goal” movie series. 🙂Similar to one of the themes in “Remember the Goal,” no one believes in the high school cross country head coach (except for the college track and field head coach). The high school cross country 👟 head coach makes a positive impact on multiple athletes at the private Christian college, and the ending is “perfect.” 😉I highly recommend “The Perfect Race!”

Title: Good movie. Good Metaphor
Review: I was in 800 meter runner and I specialize in coaching 800 meter runners. The is a good Christian movie, with a good message and the running looks pretty real. The issue are real about pacing and competition. The coaching ideas lean more toward distance running than "the long sprint" of 800. One workout is a set of 800 almost identical I did when I was running under 2:00. So the pace is a little fast for an 800 runner looking to break 2:05. Also it is unlikely the final race would go that way from a mental or physical perspective. But the metaphor of following advice humbly is important.
