Title: Effective & Easy Assembly
Review: Overhead lighting hurts my sensitive eyes to the point of my having to wear sunglasses during the work day. This was a game changer! Assembly was easy and reading the previous reviews helped make it a quick job.

Title: 12 months still great!
Review: I bought this 9/2024 for my desk as I have super sensitive eyes and was tired of wearing a baseball cap in the office. We have BRIGHT LED lights all over (not to mention my monitors). This is a lifesaver. People think Iâm a freak ð, until they ask why. Many assume itâs to block the AC vent. It works great. I did have to add 3 large binder clips to the outer edge to weight it down on that side as the LED lights come at me from all directions. The instructions were not the greatest, but I got it up and secure. It rotates, which I need since itâs weighted down. I just push it back or pull it over me when I sit down or get up. This has saved me and I love it! Itâs literally a leaf shaped umbrella.

Title: Don't always pay attention to the shape of the materials.
Review: I am so far enjoying the leaf because it blocks the bright light from my eyes since I suffer from migraines. A couple of reasons why I gave it a 4 star rating. First of all, the shape of the materials, such as the part that attaches to the desk, didn't match the pictures and it led me to initially believe that I was missing a part. If I hadn't watched the video, I would've wasted time doing an exchange. As you can see in my picture, it doesn't have the round knob that shows in the instructions (I threw them away, sorry) that I had gotten. Another reason why I gave it a 4 star rating is that, although it's so minor, there are the slight holes in the leaf where the trimming is. You can see the light coming through in the pic. But again, it doesn't negatively impact me, so don't allow this to prevent a purchase but it's good feedback for the manufacturer. Also, it was kind of annoying to put together lol. Lastly, it's a bit stiff in the sense where it's not the easiest thing to adjust the position because of where the leaf connects to the pole attached to the desk. Otherwise, love it and worth it!

Title: Help with extraordinarily cold-colored florescent lighting
Review: I worked from home for four years, in my basement. During that time, I built an office there. My son and I had just installed a fireplace, it was perfect. It still is. But then I got a great new opportunity... in an office building. Everything there is blue or white, and the lighting temperature is probably in the ultraviolet (8000K+) it's so cold and bright...I started work on the 29th of April and immediately began searching for something to mitigate the stressful effect of the light. Some things I can't and don't want to do -- for instance, covering the ceiling lights with something -- they're everyone's ceiling lights, and not everyone hates the blue light like I do...On the 2nd of May (Thursday after I started there) I purchased this shade. It arrived quickly and I installed it the next working day. Installation took a little longer than you'd expect (still only about 20 minutes) because I had to cut stitching that had closed up the sockets on one side of the shade, but I had a razor blade handy so it was not an issue.Three months later, the shade provides exactly what I need and really, it enables me to work where I work without the stress cold florescent lighting causes. I also bought a Tiffany lamp for my desk, and it provides warm light that, when contrasted with my office walls, is sort-of like a warm fire. Then I put a mirror behind the lamp (vs. buying a second lamp) to help amplify the warmth.Overall, the strategy works, and without this shade it would not. It attaches to the desk by a clamp, and is easily moved or adjusted. I have moved it once, but just once. Overall, I highly recommend.

Title: READ THIS BEFORE YOU ASSEMBLE
Review: I'm pretty good with assembling things and it took me way longer than it should. Instructions make it much more difficult to assemble because they don't show you where to insert the shorter rods. If you read the other reviews like I did because you couldn't find where to insert them, you might end up making holes, which you shouldn't. The short rods are inserted from one side only, they go inside the leaf and shouldn't be exposed. The instructions are misleading because it looks as if they're supposed to through the holes in the middle and then somehow get attached to the sides, which is not the case. Just find those 3 holes on the side to insert the rods. And yes, pay attention to your fingers, they will most likely hurt because of how it's designed (you need to push the rods all the way and then cover). I almost gave up because it's really hard to find those holes. but don't give up, at least unless there is an alternative to this product on amazon, which there isn't at the moment. It's a bit flimsy and not doing the best job blocking the light (the material is a very cheap quality), but I still recommend purchasing if you're sensitive to light. It did help me a great deal. Had there been an alternative to this product, I wouldn't have even bothered to write a review and returned immediately. Hope this review helps you spend less time assembling and watch out for your fingers! And hope it helps with your migraines and light sensitivity.

Review: Lo compre y me encantó, me molesta mucho la luz blanca de las oficinas y es muy facil de instalar, no daña el escritorio y es muy discreto ademas de que si detiene el paso de la luz. Muy recomendado.

Customers say
Customers find the lampshade functional and effective at blocking out harsh office lighting. They appreciate its professional look and height adjustment. However, some customers have reported issues with the build quality, mentioning it's flimsy and breaks easily after a short period of use. There are mixed opinions on assembly and value for money.
