The first in a smart, sizzling new contemporary romance series by USA Today best-selling author Mira Lyn Kelly.
Jase Foster is as loyal and committed as a friend can get - when it comes to the guys, that is. But with women he keeps it casual and experiences what one would call a "high turnover rate".
Emily Klein is beautiful and confident...and has mile-long legs that have been strutting in and out of Jase's life since adolescence, leaving a wake of destruction. As they get paired up time after time as the best man and maid of honor in the upcoming nuptials of all of their best friends, Emily and Jase find their mutual resentment simmering just beneath the surface...right alongside their mutual attraction. Committed to maintaining order for their friends' sakes, they keep their personal loathing for each other under wraps...at least so long as they have an audience. But once they're alone...

Title: Sexy and fun enemies to lovers romance!
Review: What a lovely read! The series idea hooked my attention and the first chapter clearly sets out the antagonistic relationship between Emily and Jase. Their friends seem to have no idea just how much the pair hates each other since they keep putting them in the unenviable position of being partnered in wedding parties due to their physical heights â Jase is over six feet tall and Emily is just under, making them the most obvious pairing when matching up their guests â much to the chagrin of both. And individually they are really nice people. Emily is a warm hearted, friendly woman who seems to always get the role of keeping the bride calm during the wedding preparations. She offers sound and practical advice, handkerchiefs for tears, and a buffer between them and the mothers or mothers-in-law as required (before and after the ceremony). She is, in fact, the perfect bridesmaid.Jase, well, he pulls off the best man role like a champ. In a somewhat stereotypical fashion things seem to happen to the groom on the night of the bachelor party or the morning of the wedding that require quick thinking and inventive excuses. His job is to make sure the groom makes it to the altar, and he does it with aplomb. Heâs a loyal friend, a handsome and smart guy, and a hit with the ladies â even if itâs Emilyâs scornful eyes he canât help catching. This romance focuses heavily on the relationships and as the story unfolds from wedding to wedding, there are glimpses of Jase and Emilyâs past and we learn how and why they ended up where they are now. Part of it involves a high school love triangle that, if they had the chance to change it, would play out differently. But itâs not just teenage angst that is behind their fallout. There are some fairly serious issues at play here that when revealed, make their antagonism and hurt feelings understandable. The attraction they feel to each other may have matured into more adult feelings but the underlying trust that was broken must be rebuilt for them to move forward. Still, you donât need to trust someone or even like them to sleep with them, and the lustful feelings they have drive their relationship into new territory. They share some steamy scenes in some interesting places, and find out that perhaps hate and love are not so far apart after all.Since the series will comprise four books, we are introduced to the three other men who will get their own stories and they are quite the gentlemen. Bromances in books are some of my favorite scenes to read and these guys make me laugh with their antics. One of the couples that gets married in the story goes through some interesting relationship difficulties that put Emily and Jase squarely in the middle. The fallout from those scenes and the subsequent conflict and resolution to Emily and Jaseâs own relationship brought tears to my eyes. An author who can make a reader feel a wide range of emotions is clearly one who is skilled at their craft. Jase and Emilyâs happy ending in May the Best Man Win is well deserved and I eagerly await the next story in The Best Men series .

Title: Fantastic book!
Review: Jase Foster doesn't believe in happily ever afters. Ever since his Mom checked out on him and his Dad, he won't let himself fall for any woman. So why is it that every time he sees Emily at weddings, he feels like he can't breath. Due to the fact that they are both very tall, they are always paired off in wedding parties. Ever since high school, Jase had always had feelings for her.Emily can't believe that she will paired off with Jase once again at another wedding. When she looks at him there is a sizzling chemistry. When neither one of them can take it anymore, they give in to their desires. So begins an intense sexual relationship. With his issues of abandonment by his mother, and commitment phobia, can these two make a go at it.I love this author. Her stories are beautiful and make you feel warm and bothered.

Title: Loved this hero...a great guy..
Review: First, this is a standalone read with a HEA. Second, reading some of the reviews with the low stars I had to shake my head. They missed the whole point of the story. But, to each his own. I on the other hand LOVED THIS STORY. It is my favorite kind of romance. There are two people involved, they have issues to work through and they do to get to their HEA. There is no bad guy, no drugs, mafia, violence, etc. Just two people working through some issues that usually are very real in real life. These two, Jase and Emily, started out as friends in high school each wanting a little more than friendship. But due to very teenage behavior, they parted on very bad terms. Into adulthood, 10 years later, they are thrown together as their best friends are getting married. They are always paired together in the wedding party because of her height and his being the only one taller than her. They spit and fight the whole time. They have a lot to go through to find out why they are where they are.The thing with Jase's parents happened to a friend of mine. His mother was even worse than this one and without all the excuses. It broke their family apart and just about killed the dad. Then she waltzes back home one day and even tho my friend and his brother pleaded with the dad to not take her back, he did. His ending did not turn out like the story. He eventually lost all touch with his dad and the mother treats the dad like he was the one that did the unspeakable acts. My friend doesn't speak to either one of them. But, that is real life, Jase had a lot to deal with in the story.Emily had her own issues to deal with. She was so misjudged, etc. and at such a young age to have to deal with the things that were going on. It was a terrible thing to have happened to a young woman but she didn't let it define her. She is strong, independent and a lovely person. I could see why she "hated" Jase at the time. One reviewer thought the reason they were not together was rather silly, or something like that. I don't think it was something that so easily could have been dismissed. I could easily understand her feelings toward Jase and the things he said to her.All that being said, I LOVED this story. It was so good. Held my attention to the point I didn't want to put the book down. I will admit that at the first of the book I was a little confused trying to keep all the guys straight and just what was going on, but once I got into the story of Jase and Emily, I was spellbound. It was a great read and I highly recommend it.I was not paid for this review. I am not an author nor do I know one. I am not kin to this writer. I am a reader and this is my opinion, nothing more, nothing less.

Title: Light, fun romance daughter read
Review: Fun read, but at times it felt like the story that would never end. Also, too many friends of the characters to keep straight.

Review: I grabbed this book for free and I won't hesitate to purchase the next book in the series.I will be honest if I had seen the titles of the author's mills & boon offerings, I like a little more than recycled tropes.Boy, would I have missed out.Jase and Emily's story is complex and delicious. There is a fantastic tension between them, a difficult history to get over and personal demons to conquer.I devoured this book in an afternoon and I did not want to throw things at the main characters for being idiots.I truly enjoyed the writing style and voices of the characters and I can't wait to see how the other guys find their true loves. (Our in one particular case get his head out of his ass and see the girl in front of him.)Only con - everyone is gorgeous, thin, & heterosexual but this is not going to be a con for everyone.
