Put a new spin on homestyle favorites with this New York Times Bestsller that shows you how to make easy, fresh meals from scratch in your own kitchen.
Crystal Cook and Sandy Pollock make a mean Chicken Pot Pie, elevating the classic recipe with white wine and fresh tarragon. Their recipe won them such a following in Texas that Bobby Flay took notice and challenged them to a Throwdown. It turns out that the Casserole Queens, as the duo is known, are much more than one-hit wonders of the one-dish dinner. They have built an entire business around revamping the ultimate quick-fix dinner for modern tastes.
In The Casserole Queens Cookbook, they share their fresh, updated, from-scratch recipes for traditional dishes. Tuna Noodle is brought up a notch with a homemade cream sauce and a kick of cayenne pepper; Halibut Enchiladas with Salsa Verde are surprisingly light and vibrant; Mandarin Meatloaf has a sweet orange flavor that recharges a beloved weeknight staple. There are home-style desserts, like Gooey Apple Butter Cake, and great brunch dishes, such as Frenchy Toast Casserole. The Queens have thought of everything, providing advice on scaling and freezing casseroles so that anyone can stock the freezer with go-to dinners.
With 16 pages of color photographs, plenty of expert tips, and lots of style, The Casserole Queens Cookbook is the home cook’s handbook for making tasty meals any night of the week.

Title: Excellent recipes. I have made at least a dozen of them and all were terrific!
Review: My family and I have enjoyed the recipe's in this cookbook. It is dedicated to casserole dished which are easier to make and use less dishes to produce your meals. Who doesn't love leftovers! Buying the cookbook is the first step. You do need to have cooking skills and use good ingredients to get good results. I cant see why anyone would leave a negative review on this cookbook.

Title: You Will Love It !
Review: This is the Casserole Queens second cookbook. A New York Times, Best Seller, and with high praise from none other than, Bobby Flay, on the cover. The first recipe I tried was the Pile HIgh Frittata. It includes the ingredients based on a Denver Omlette, for the best breakfast casserole I have ever tasted. Shared the recipe with friends and now their all time favorite breakfast casserole too. This book has more of the 9 x 13 casseroles, with several seafood options, and included breakfast casseroles at the end of the book. Homemade cream of mushroom and cream of chicken soups to use in recipes, instead of the canned versions. Bobby Flay loved their savory lasagna and the caramel bread pudding. If you are looking for recipes that will perk up mealtime at your house, this book delivers. Both of their cookbooks make it easy to make a great family meal, put a casserole in the freezer for another day and allow you to make enough food to share with a family member that may not be able to cook for themselves. With the dietary notes, pretty much solves all the cooking challenges cooking for family presents.

Title: Wide Variety of Recipes
Review: Some great tips in the beginning, with assessment if that particular casserole is a good candidate for freezing. One dish baking versions of pizza, quiche etc, with option of quick use of Bisquick or use their 'from scratch' biscuit mix. I am high altitude (8,000') and am having to learn to adjust cooking times longer. Also they provide some breakfast and dessert casseroles. Also there is some veggie options, but not too much low calorie. I enjoyed the fun presentation. I may be able to bring something besides cups and paper plates to the next potluck.

Title: Read recipes carefully
Review: I made the Chicken and Rice dish, first recipe try out of the book, and it was chicken and rice soup. Ingredients list calls for 4 cups of chicken broth, but the recipe actually only uses 2.5 cups of broth. I don't know how any of the other recipes are, but our first cook from this book was not good. Pay very close attention, and be sure to compare the ingredients list to the full page of directions, or your dish may not turn out!

Title: My new "Go To" recipe - Broccoli Cornbread
Review: I just received the Casserole Queen's Cookbook. After looking through all those tasty sounding recipes, I decided on the Broccoli Cornbread. It was so easy to prepare and tasted delicious. We had guests over when I made it and everyone kept going back for more. This will definitely be one of those "go to" recipes when I need to take something to a social activity and want to wow everyone. I've also noticed that after observing the family, it is good as leftovers. I am certainly looking forward to trying the other recipes in this exciting new cookbook.

Title: Best cookbook EVER
Review: I have made several casseroles from this book.....the tuna casserole by far is our favorite. The enchilada casserole was a huge hit with my grandchildren. I was a little disappointed in the french toast casserole....it didn't rise evenly and it was runny....maybe too much liquid? I will try less milk next time and see what happens. The ease of these recipes is very appealing and I love the sideline cooking and preparation tips.Worth the money.....

Title: It Truly Is the "World's Greatest Chicken Pot Pie"
Review: My husband and I made this wonderful dish for our two sons (14 and 11) and their friend (12), and all we heard was "ummm" and "yum." Even our two picky eaters ate all the vegetables. I think there was only one lone shallot sliver left on a plate. We are looking forward to trying the other recipes in the book. Congratulations to Crystal Cook and Sandy Pollock for tasty recipes and lots of family fun.

Title: Good for Homey Meals
Review: Good recipes, so far. We had the Corndog Casserole based on another reviewers raves, and it was indeed delicious. Next I want to try the Beef Burgundy with a couple of the side dishes when I have company over for dinner. But, one thing I noticed is that some of the recipes sounded familiar. I've seen the very same Broccoli Cornbread in another cookbook, as well as quite a few others. In fact, the Jiffy-Mix Company came up with that recipe first. I don't think these recipes are theirs, but lifted from other sources not noted in the recipe. Don't say "their recipes" on the back cover if they are not indeed theirs.
