Our Company History

In 1928, at the age of twenty-two, Peter Beilenson began printing books on a small press in the basement of his parents’ home in Larchmont, New York. Peter and later, his wife, Edna sought to create fine books that sold at prices even a pauper could afford.

Today, still family owned and operated, Peter Pauper Press continues to honor our founders’ legacy and our customers’ expectations of beauty, quality, and value.

Title: Affairs in Order
Review: Have purchased several of these over the years. I recommend highly because it is well designed to help you put your affairs in order, be a responsible parent, dictate what your wishes are so that your family doesn't have to worry about where to find things after your death, or make decisions that you should dictate prior to your death. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Title: Super Detaled
Review: I bought this book for my parents who are older now and it's so detailed! There are questions in here that I would have never thought of. It's a great way to get the information you need in case.. you know.

Title: I'm dead, now what
Review: Great book to leave behind for lived ones For me it was just too many pages that we would never use. At least 2 pages for credit cards. If you have that many cards, you need this book. Can't imagine more than 2 cards. It's a big book, like 11 x 12

Title: Kind of Morbid but also... BE PREPARED!
Review: This book is incredible. The last thing anyone wants to worry about when a loved one passes is all of the arrangements that have to be made. Don't leave your family members scrambling to figure out what bills need to be paid, what services need to be cancelled, where all your important paperwork is, where you have bank accounts at, etc. This book prepares anyone that's taking care of everything after your gone. It has everything from your preferences on funeral arrangements to all of your material belongings & people to contact and for what. There's so much value in being able to know that if you leave this world, your loved ones have everything in one place to get things in order. That is this book! 100% worth the money, I bought one for all of my family members and we call it our "Dead books" lol.

Title: Everyone needs one!!!
Review: I’m big on people being prepared & that includes myself! I have a smaller book similar to this but wanted to update it & came across this one. It has lots of great ideas to remember (all sorts of accounts to write down, family & friends to notify, ‘My Wishes’ for personal notes & other details, after-death plans (cremation, burial, donations), an obituary section, reminders for locations of documents & passwords to accounts & social media, etc etc). It does *not* replace a will or advance directives but is also a backup to them. I highly recommend this book for every person to get & fill out. With personal experience with deceased friends/family, something like this is a must!!

Title: Very nice gift for my sister
Review: My sister has bad OCD and Anxiety, So she overthinks a lot about the future. I got her this book since I know she wanted it so bad. She's a planner and Now she can write down everything that is in this book so that she can feel more at ease about the future. Love it, thank you.

Title: Cannot turn pages
Review: I have no idea what the book contains beyond the first two pages, as the spiral binding is so small that I cannot turn the pages. The pages are very thin and though the tabs are nice, and the hard cover seems durable, I am sure the pages will tear and crimple quickly. I will be returning ASAP
