Inner Stability and Control for Growth and Persistence

It is obviously hard to balance when we are shaken by the things inside of us. When the inner state based on our thoughts and experiences becomes stable within clear self-awareness, we can lead our own thoughts and actions in the desired direction with a high sense of control over ourselves rather than being swayed by negative and unhelpful thoughts.

This part contains 2 tools: Daily Mood Tracker and Name Your Mood. The tracker records your daily mood state on a monthly base. And the section for you to name your daily mood with the guided mood list on Mood Palette allows you to notice and clarify your feelings.

This part is a brief note about your good and bad days. It is your thought that is the interpretation of the event, not the event itself that causes the feeling. Recognize the thoughts that cause your feelings and distinguish between events, thoughts, and emotions, and when facing bad days, lead yourself to The Journal process to study and manage it.

Title: ADDENDUM 1.7.23 Unclear directions for 1/3 of the content of this journal
Review: 1.7.23 Addendum reviewSince leaving my initial 1 star review on 1.2.23, I wanted to add additional comments because the seller did finally reach out to contact me. He was grateful and thanked me for my feedback, which he is going to use to clarify the directions for using the journal, and offered me a full refund without having to return the journal, which I accepted. In addition, he provided me with more complete directions that I am including here (below this paragraph) to help anyone else who may be frustrated in trying to use it. I have changed my rating to 3 stars only because I have not had a chance to try using the journal yet, and also because a product like this should quite honestly be easy to use from the start without having to go through all of this. I actually rarely leave reviews, and this has taken up a good deal of my time.Directions from the seller (slightly edited by myself for clarity):How To Use BETTER MOOD JOURNALThe Recognition section1) GRADE your current mood state from 0 to 20, and track to notice the change in mood levels with The Recognition graph2) NAME your mood with Mood Palette to clarify what you currently feelThe 2-Sentence section3) After completing the day’s Recognition, JOURNAL a brief daily mood note to reflect thoughts and events that could be causes of the current feelings4) For those days with relatively lower mood levels than usual (what is lower and higher is determined by you) MOVE to The Journal section for a deeper mood explorationThe Journal section5) Try to ANSWER the guided questions and REFLECT on your own moods and thoughts, and NOTICE root emotions and your resulting behavior/state6) GRADE your After Mood and see if your mood level has changedThe Tracker section7) After each session in The Journal section, RECORD and TRACK the Root Emotions and Superficial State/Behavior that was noticed during The Journal process to see your own behavioral mechanism/pattern8) The more you build better self-awareness with this mood reflection process, the more you become a stable and happier self with high control of your own moods and behaviors.1.2.23 Original reviewI really wanted to love this journal because its description seemed straightforward and it did not contain pages & pages of drawings, affirmations, etc, etc, which I do not like or find useful. However, after it arrived & I began looking through it, it became apparent that 1/3 of the content is not useable because the directions are extremely unclear for that section of the journal and make no sense. The journal came with a postcard insert showing the website & IG account for the seller. I went to the website in hopes of finding more directions, which I did not find, so I tried contacting the company via their IG account to ask for clarifications. I have not received a reply, so I have decided to return it. Below is the message I sent to the company--"Hi, I recently purchase the journal & am looking forward to using it, but some of the directions for using it are very vague. Your website doesn't offer any help. Can you explain the Recognition graph page more clearly? The numbers on the side clearly correlate to the number of days in the month(s), but the numbers on the bottom, from 0 to 20, which correlate with the dots in the middle of the graph, have no explanation and no apparent purpose. I am assuming the moods identified on the facing page for each day of the month is to be entered on the graph page, but there are 30 of those, not 20, so there will be no logical correlation when they are entered on the graph, and in the example provided in the journal, the position in the list of the emotions does not match the dot on the graph where it was recorded. So how is that supposed to work? Also on the Recognition pages, over the mood list, there are blank circles. Do they have a purpose? The blank circles are also included on the 2-Sentence pages. Do they have a purpose? And also on the 2-Sentence pages the numbers 0 - 20 are again included with no apparent purpose. How are they to be used?I actually really love the concept behind this journal and bought it with the idea to start using it at the start of this new year, but it doesn't make sense to start using it when parts of it seem irrelevant or confusing. I would appreciate having my questions answered so I can start using it. Otherwise I will return it for a refund and I will leave a review on Amazon stating the above reasons as to why I chose to return it.Thanks for any help you can give me."

Review: Great to help keep track emotions and moods on a daily basis. What you get out of using it is equivalent to what you put into the journal.

Title: Wonderful cosmetically dented in shipping Updated
Review: Subtle level of aesthetics can be very important in a journal. Simple straightforward layout as to not get distracted as you work through a trigger. The feel of the cover is textured and embossed giving your hands some tactical feedback if you write in your lap or on the go.Con: My cover was dented/gouged in shipping. Bummer.Think it'll be a help. Add some bubble wrap to shipping please!May update after a bit of use.I took off a star for the judgmental/ablest aspects in the examples." I may not get what I want from the first attempt, and maybe it will even be a time of patience and challenge until I get my first chance. However, I won’t choose lethargy and laziness to avoid facing it. "Part of DBT, CBT is a non-judgmental stance. I find these type of self depreciating 'examples' of toxic encouragement counter productive to the overall goal and layout off the journal.Still good if you have prior exposure to tools/skill sets to work through the process with self kindness as well as honesty.
