Easy Installation:

1.Find a a surface for mounting camera, then drill a hole diameter 22.5mm using the include tool. and insert the camera in. 2.Connect the power wire of backup camera to the power of reversing light. 3.Connect the extension wire of backup camera to the head unit / car monitor of vehicle.

Looks perfect.It is easy to wire, camera connects to the vehicle backup light wire( red to your back up power wire when in reverse, the black to ground). i wired my monitor to a fuse, using the black (ground wire) and red wire (positive). The remaining wires were not used, like the red wire from the video cable. The rest was easy. Great picture and view on the COOLINT monitor: COOLINT CM-43LA 2CH Video Input 4.3" Auto Adjust Brightness LCD Rear View Mirror Monitor for Toyota Nissan Mazda Ford Lexus Jeep Dodge etc.Some reviewers say the night vision is poor. I would say it is ok. I am not a fan of LED camera because of inescapable working heat.Not too savy on picking out a good camera, but this one was what I ended up with after a couple of other tries. Title: I took a chance...2011 F-150 Install
Review: I wasn't sure about purchasing this camera after reading the reviews; I am the type of person that likes to do a lot of research. The fact that it installed flush, and is 480 TVL made me take a chance, as it's exactly what I needed/wanted. I'm hopeful the description is correct and they have fixed the housing fade issue, time will tell.I installed this in the tailgate handle of my 2011 F-150.I won't get all nerdy, but 480 TVL is the best you'll get, even if the camera says it has more. While the image quality does depend on the max TVL, it will also depend on what monitor/screen you're viewing it on. I paired this camera with an Auto-Vox rear view mirror with LCD screen here: AUTO-VOX Dual Video Inputs 4.3" Auto Adjusting Brightness Car Rear View Mirror for Toyota Honda Nissan Mazda Hyundai Kia Ford Pickup and Most Car Model I used this same rear view mirror w/ LCD for my hatchback back up camera install many months ago, it's a bit expensive, but I was so pleased with it's performance I had to use it for the truck.For my comparison, on the hatchback I installed the Esky camera: Esky EC170-06 HD Color CCD Waterproof Car Rear View Backup Camera, 0.86X0.65X0.50-inch (No Guideline Version) I like this camera, install was simple, but I couldn't ground it anywhere, even directly to the battery; the image would become grainy and would flicker when grounded to the chassis or tapped into an already existing ground.I also plan to wire a front facing camera on the truck, which was another reason I took a chance on the Coolint. I like the idea of using the same camera for both front and rear. Additionally this camera has the ability to have guidelines or not, and have a mirrored image or not depending on if it's for front facing or rear; all with the snip of a little wire which is completely genius!Install of the Coolint was as expected, it is a bit nerve racking cutting a hole in your automobile, but they include the hole saw you need. I devised a plan of attack before I did any drilling; made sure the wires would fit through the tailgate, wouldn't bump into anything etc. I used a nail and a hammer to mark my center for the hole saw bit and went to town. The tailgate handle is made of plastic and the hole saw handled it well; it did start to smoke a little and I had to get creative in order to get the plastic center unstuck from the hole saw once finished so I could re-use it. The camera is a tight fit for the hole that is created, don't be surprised if you need to take a file or knife to the hole to widen it just a hair and don't be afraid to push, it takes some force.I REALLY like that the RCA cable has a red wire running through it. I used that as my power source and ran it to the front of the truck; I wired the camera to a switch vs. tapping into the power reverse wire. Here is the switch I used: Ulincos® Latching Push Button Switch U16C2 1NO1NC SPDT ON/OFF Black Metal Shell with Blue LED Ring Suitable for 16mm Mounting Hole This has it's own install/wiring and I used the diagram they provided.Now the most important part; the image. It's amazing! My better half, who could care less about all this stuff made the comment that my backup camera has a much better image than in the hatchback; this coming from someone who didn't notice I had installed a sound bar w/ sub woofer to our television for almost 2 days.I consider this camera to be an extra wide view camera as it does make have a bit of a fish eye look to it. It does have the ability to rotate in all directions, but even with that ability I can't quite point it down enough to see my bumper.All in all, I couldn't be happier with this camera and the image that is produced. It is remarkably clear and detailed.Update: 5 stars to 4The night view is quite horrible, though I don't have the brightest reverse lights. It also becomes very grainy. I haven't tested brighter reverse lights, but I think this could help. It's also a bit bright, even with the monitor turned down all the way in brightness it sometimes can appear washed, not all too surprised by that being that I live in the South where it's sunny most days.Update 9/16/16The camera is still working great. I can confirm the housing fade issue is mostly resolved. The majority of the camera stays black, however the ring around the camera lens does still turn a copper color, BUT, In looking at the Esky reverse camera I installed on my hatchback and the two dash cameras I have, I don't think this problem can be avoided because they all suffer from this issue; housing looks great, but the ring around the camera is copper colored.

Title: Another Satisfied Customer
Review: Excellent Backup Camera. Installation was breeze; instructions are sparse but a little basic knowledge and some common sense resulted in a professional-quality install at a fraction of the price. Camera angle adjustment works great - simple but very effective. Drill bit worked fine in plastic and fit was perfect (just be patient evenly working the camera into the hole). Image quality is certainly adequate for intended purpose (it's not HD but, after all, it's a backup camera!). Will be interesting to see how it holds up to Northwest weather. Based on quality, price and performance, I wouldn't hesitate purchasing another Coolint product.Update. After a few short weeks, the camera stopped working. I emailed Coolint and they promptly sent a replacement ... no hassle, no debate ... delivery was a little slow (coming from China) but, all things considered, excellent customer service. Bummer that first camera floundered but a big save by their customer service dept so it still gets 5 stars.

Title: Good camera as long as it never gets wet.
Review: Had this mounted in the front bumper of a Jeep JKUR and it was working well, nice wide view and selectable front/rear, parking lines or no, however; after a good rainstorm I ran through a deeper puddle and this got very wet, and then very dead. Seems like something that is made to mount on the exterior of a vehicle would be more weather proof.

Title: Excellent camera with adjustable angle
Review: Very good camera for the money!!! Very intuitive hook-up. Running the wires takes some time (vehicle dependent), but I would take that hassle over wireless camera. Picture quality during day is remarkably good. Night picture has some digital noise, but that's expected since there is no LED's (I tried cameras with both - regular white led's come on every time you shift to reverse and are not that effective, IR led's are quite effective but during day they make the image look like zombie apocalypse). The biggest advantage of that camera in comparison to similar products is the adjustable angle and wide angle view. I installed the cam within my tailgate handle (very clean and almost factory look). When I adjust the camera all the way down, I can see the edges of my rear bumper at the bottom of the image, while still seeing sky on top (couldn't ask for more). I can easily park within couple inches of other cars and am pretty sure when I get to hookup my trailer it will come very handy as well.

Review: Installed in 08 Avalanche with Pioneer Double DIN. Picture looked washed out and light but Pioneer settings corrected this so picture is nice and colorful. Looks real good in tail gate opener assembly. Wired to Blue wire (Rear view Mirror wire) near the fuses in the left side of dash and connected red wire together all the way to the camera and the negative at the back of the truck. I didn't want or need to use taillight connect. Covered the wire with 1/4 inch loom. Drilled a hole in the floor board under the bundle of wires at the back of the kick panel by the driver's side door to get into cab and sealed it.There was just enough Video cable to make it to the back of the Pioneer.It goes to backup camera in reverse or if I select Camera on the Pioneer to watch rear - pulling trailer or boat, etc.

Review: I liked the idea of being able to alter the viewing angle but from a vertical surface approx. 5ft off the ground was only able to see up to 3ft 6ins from the rear of the motor-home. Other than that a nice small neat camera, oh & the two pin tool didn't fit the holes had to bend them wider to be able to adjust the camera position.

Review: I bought 2 of these cameras within a week of each other. My plan was to install one into my tailgate handle (to view when hooking up to my traier) and the other into my rear cab brake light/box light lense housing (to view when hooking up my 5th wheel trailer).Both cameras installed well and both worked great. Then this past spring, my tailgate camera started glitching and then all out stopped working. To trouble shoot, I took my upper camera and plugged it into my tailgate harness and was able to get my image back. So wiring is fine, camera is pooched.The reason for the low star count is I tried Reaching out to Coolint and so far haven't had so much as a Hi.Would like to resolve this issue because it is trailer season and would prefer to not have to replace the camera system with another brand.Otherwise, the cameras themselves would get a much higher rating, the company service just sucks big time.
