Title: Tiny, with versatile Vox-like sound
Review: I love this simple little amp, and I love it all the more perched atop a 4x12 cab like an ant on an elephant.Hotone fit all the absolute essentials in this little amp. While there are also no flashy extras, it doesn't feel like anything is missing either. I opted against other similar small amps as I feel a 3 band EQ is essential, and a 1 knob EQ is just too limited. While it would be nice if the Hotone Nano had a built-in reverb, it does have send and receive jacks (remarkable for an amp so small and affordable) for no-compromises reverb and looping. The tone is great - I've owned a small Vox amp that was fun but limited mostly by its small speaker, and the Hotone takes the same midrangey crunch with the freedom to put it into a proper set of speakers. I debated between this and the Purple Wind, but the Purple Wind seemed a little more one-note and not very capable of cleans. The British Invasion, on the other hand, has some great cleans and a gentle sweep into classic 60's crunch. With the gain low, it's great for all sorts of clean if you tweak the EQ (cut the mids for a more Fendery sound). With the gain at 1 o'clock, it's got a natural, bluesy bit of crunch that's very flexible depending on the dynamics (and pickups) you use. Crank the gain all the way and it's all rock n' roll. It doesn't ever get into modern hard rock or metal levels of gain on its own (not even with a quad rail humbucker, I tried), but like most amps, it can do metal well enough when paired with the right pedal. The volume is impressive for the size but not terrifically loud. It's great for bedroom practice, and when cranked it can absolutely get loud enough to annoy the neighbors, but it won't cut it with a drummer (...maybe a really gentle jazz drummer?). The problem here is headroom; if you just want to cause a ruckus, it can get loud, but as soon as you need the gain rolled back for a clean sound, you'll no longer have the volume to keep up. Keep in mind that I'm using this through a 4x12, and if you're using it through a 1x12 or smaller, expect it to be a fair bit quieter. All around this is a great basic amp with a classic and versatile range of tones.

Title: My Teleâs best friend
Review: The Hotone British Invasion has that classic jangly sparkle that we all know so well. Plugged it into a mini cabinet and it has plenty of power for a practice session. Mic it and run it through a PA, it sounds great, too. Unbelievable valueâ¦Lots of possibilities just varying tone controls and gain + effects loop is something that even higher priced amps donât always have. Buy this⦠you wonât regret it.

Title: Fantastic little amp
Review: Use it to drive a Wangs 10" Celection Cabinet, loud more than enough for home practice. Before this, I had a Mooer Baby Bomb 30, its too powerful, too loud for home practice. For this British Invasion, set the gain at 9'oclock, had beautiful clean tone with my Epiphone Les Paul standard. Tuen to 12 o'clock and up, those rock sound like I hear from radio in my teenager. I can use a phone to play in evening. As some commends said it has noise issue, I tried push to max volume and gain, no noticeble noise.

Title: Fun, good pedal platform
Review: I got it next day, I plugged it on not a Peavey 210 bass cab, 16ohm. It's not loud, but it sounds great, it sounds creamy.not high gain but nice. It eq is pretty dynamic. It has s very responsive to all my pedals. I ordered an Orange 8x10 cab...if it's half as good I will be happy.

Title: Decent tone, some flaws... overall, a neat bedroom amp option.
Review: After reading every review I could find (not many), watching every video I could scrounge (again, not many)... I decided to give this a whirl.I grabbed this and it's sister the Purple Wind for use in my home as ways to extend the tonal range of my playing.First and foremost, you need to be aware this amp has some issues with hum when volume or gain controls are high... I find that keeping them below roughly '7' or so cuts the hum to 'barely noticeable' (say 3 o'clock if you imagine a clock face). The hum is louder across the board with single coil pickups vs humbuckers.... not shocking I know. So this 5 Watt class A/B amp probably offers about 3 to 3.5 watts of usable power.I strongly suspect the power supply is the culprit in the hum issue... I'll be trying to cobble together something to fix it, or just trying to replace the power supply with a higher quality type. The hum is not a deal breaker for me, but it does cost this amp almost a full star on my review.Second big thing: Tone. This amp does a decent job of cloning the AC30 sound. Not great, but decent. If you spend the time to dial in the bass, mids, treble and gain... it is a pretty acceptable clone. Something is missing from the AC30 vibe, but I can't put my finger on it. Those knobs are not just for show, they change the tone drastically. I like that. All in all, it is a neat option... 5 watt A/B amp with an FX loop the size and weight of a pedal. Color me impressed.I will suggest this amp is a better bedroom amp or tonal toy than an amp for serious usage. It simply isn't loud enough for gigging with it's hum at max volumes. The hum makes it a bad choice for recording. This would not be a good choice for someone looking for their first or sole amp... by the time you add a cabinet and such you are into the price range of some very well respected practice amps by other makers that will not have the hum issue and have much longer track records of solid service and quality. What it does offer is a tiny amp that has some good tonal options for a pretty low price.Would I buy it again? Yes. It adds a tonal option to my home rig I did not have before. It sounds pretty decent, not great, but decent when I want that AC30 vibe. Be aware of it's flaws, and weigh if they overpower it's positives... for me the positives win.As mentioned above, I bought the Purple Wind along side it. If I were to only buy one, I would lean toward the Purple Wind. It's Plexi tone is much closer to the original Marshall sound than this amp gets to Vox. I will be keeping both, but I strongly suspect the Purple Wind will get more play.I am honestly blown away by the size, side by side it isn't much larger than my TS-9 Tubescreamer overdrive pedal.

Review: this thing blows my mind.. I heard a lot of good.. and some bad reviews but honestly this is more than I expected.firstly addressing the hum:its there.. but at 75% or "3 o'clock" its un-noticeable.. and that is plenty volume.for me this now sits on my pedalboard like a squid with the FX loop filled. *I did notice digital noise in my fx loop coming from my zoom g3 but thats modded so I blame that.. as soon as I added another pedal in the FX loop a boss eq it seemed better grounded and the noise was gone**I play church music but this thing hits small stage levels great and I always played mic'd and in the mis so it works great.the tone is phenomenal. I love big mids and this delivers from left to right I run T45% M65% B50% / G75% V75%this gives me a great tone with a Tele with some buckers I might roll off the bass and bring the trebel back but I am happya donner small blues driver in front of this gives it a good kick in the pants andI threw some reverb and delay through the loop and love playing this thing..a bit of a volume roll off and mid p/u position cleans it right off and this thing plays dynamically unlike "digital" vox models I have tried (trying to keep it cheap) and is much better than my old Ashdown FA 40 WATT tube amp (I hated the dark dreary tone of that thing)conclusion:I most commonly play a vintage Fender twin reverbs, and some other crazy gear (mesa, orange, vox ext.) as a friend of mine is a bit of a gear whore becuase I could borrow away :). but I have to say the pure price to tone to this thing is incomparable and I will be getting another to run stereo (maybe a purple wind or Fender Clone) cause. I wil add a photo if I can remember this weekend.

Review: There are many reviews and demos on youtube of this product so I do suggest you check them out as hearing it is the best way to assess it. I am lucky enough to have a Celestion 10 inch 30 watt Greenback to play it though and it is fab! Takes pedals well too (I only use delay / reverb) and is plenty loud enough in my front room to play along with to backing tracks through the aux in. Simply brillaint sounds , very flexible, solidly built piece of kit. It is the centre of my home recording setup now, love it.

Overall, they find it fun, responsive, and a nice option for home studios and small practice spaces.
