Title: Behind the Curtain of Self-Publishing
Review: Well-written text, nicely-done photos and a wealth of advice from the creator of Classic Game Room. If you have any aspirations to self-publish, be it on YouTube, Amazon or anywhere else, be sure to give this book some of your time before you get started - or even after. Mark has a couple of decades under his belt doing this type of thing, so the knowledge he is passing along is credible. Also, the guy likes Sega and Atari (who doesn't?). The book specifically gives advice on how to write and record a review, discusses equipment and time requirements to produce quality content, peeks behind the scenes of monetization and marketing for your work and includes lots of drawings of a particular coked-up chicken. In all, worth your time, even if you just want to know how Mark does his thing.

Title: Just like the authors videos: Informative AND entertaining!
Review: I have been following Classic Game Room, the net show of the author of the book, every now and then over the last 5 years and so.This book seemed to be similar to the actual show: informative AND entertaining, which I got from the preview provided. So even though I am from Germany, I decided to purchase the paperback version of the book (I don't like digital books). It arrived pretty quickly. So far the book doesn't disappoint at all! I have my own little web show with unique content about the digital popstar Hatsune Miku and can agree with many things the author thinks. I do my videos for the fun of it and try to make it as special as possible. The book is a fun read and also provides me with new interesting information about videomaking. This book is specifically about video game reviews but I can also use most of it as reference for my own videos.Definitely recommend getting this book.

Title: Interesting Read By Slightly Misleading Title
Review: I've been a fan and supportive of Mark Bussler's work for years. However, while the bulk of the material covered in this book is interesting and informative. As a genuine book on the topic of working in entertainment-related video production particularly in the ever-changing world of social media. It's not a completely straight-forward title, in that roughly only a quarter to about a third of the book covers in detail the how to's on working on a review style show. This is not to say the remainder is not an enjoyable read. It's filled with a considerable amount marketing and other general insight and advice from Busslerâs years of experience working in the field. However, I couldnât help but feel conflicted while reading this book. Since I kept having the feeling this book toes the line between being a legitimate guide to creating a show like his Classic Game Room but then regularly details both directly and indirectly the kinds of immeasurable difficulties that Bussler's show and other similar kinds of content creators face. Which as a fan of CGR, it's nice to read and learn more about how Classic Game Room was slowly relegated off Youtube and other platforms before ultimately ending a few years after this book came out. Frankly, I would have rather read a book directly discussing the story of Classic Game Room and why it's no longer around. Then one presented as an informative guide that regularly makes references to Busslerâs style and creations.I can somewhat understand the creative choice to approach the topic in this manner, as oppose to making it about himself. But in some ways, I feel this book could have used a subtitle or something, or perhaps that would maybe sway potential customers away if they thought it was just about a show that they may or may not have heard of. Overall, I think readers should probably become more familiar with Busslerâs other work to fully understand his perspective. That said I enjoyed the book and found it as an interesting look into the story of CGR, video production, and the state of video distribution.

Review: I loved every moment and every page of this book. Busslerâs wit & humor that made him a YouTube celebrity is again in full force in the pages of this book. Check out his awesome game reviews on YouTube @ Classic Game Room. If you aspire to make excellent YouTube videos, this book is a must read. It could be a YouTube channel specializing in cooking, travel, video games, ... It doesnât matter! The advice on offer in this book can be applied to just about anything. This book also features nice photos and comic drawings throughout. It is both a literal and visual tour de force. When done, donât forget to check out his other book, Unsubscribed! And donât forget to follow him on Twitch @K4rnage. Mark, if ur reading this, thanks for the memories, and thanks for this book! Keep them coming!

Title: Great Content! Entertaining and Educational!
Review: If you're a fan of Classic Game Room, then you'll be a fan of this book! I like all the "behind the scenes" information, Mark's thoughts and opinions on the state of YouTube, and his advise on how to be a good YouTuber and reviewer. My only gripe is the Kindle version is not quite optimized for its format (small letters), but if you read on a tablet (instead of a phone), it's fine. Overall, it was a joy to read!

Title: just like Mark.
Review: This is a sincere, well-written and photographed guide to a past-time that Mark turned into a profession. Packed full of insight and tried & tested methodology, this guide might not make you youtube star (since they're kinda going the way of the dinosaurs) but it just might help you craft something you can be proud of, just like Mark.

Review: I loved and still love Mark's game reviews. This book is quite short, but it's full of useful information for someone who makes game reviews. My reviews still suck, but at least I now know where I'm going wrong.
