Title: Ordered wrong size but made it work
Review: I didn’t realize this was bigger than the size I needed but the pattern was easy to follow so I was able to size it down and get it to work. I recommend always making a draft piece first so you can adjust the pattern as needed before cutting into your nice fabric you are using for the final piece. I love that the final piece is reversible.

Title: The sizes are not what you think they are, so read carefully
Review: Living history enthusiast here. Going for a "Caravaggio painting style." This pattern worked out great for me. I am well-endowed, and also a singer and musician, and having my "generous" bustline smushed into a Tudor corset doesn't really work out for me. So I wanted something with more room for the girls, so decided to indulge my great love of Baroque paintings.I bought the wrong size at first, and didn't realize it till I cut it and couldn't return it. The numerical sizes listed are not standard American sizes, so read carefully before you choose. No harm, I have a tween daughter. So I just kept it and ordered the larger size package.Pattern is easy to follow and versatile. There is a wide variety of variations one can make with this pattern set. Corset is comfortable and very well fitted. If you've never made anything this fitted, I recommend first building a basic one with scrap. What I did was use some old scrap corduroy to make a test run, because these things require a specific fit. After some tweaking and experimentation, I used the test corset as the lining of the actual corset. Fits great!

Title: just what my dress needed
Review: Ever have to wear one of those over the counter back support/brace? Remember how ugly, hot and bulky they looked? Well I have to wear them and I'm sick of the way it make a nice dress look, so I'm going to make something I can wear over a dress or blouse that doesn't look ugly. I've made these before for costumes but had miss placed my patter during moving. Was so happy to find a replacement and with more then just one corset/bodice idea. Made with the right materials and a few miner adjustments for my personal size also needs these are going to turn out great. Still have the first ones I ever made and I use them with my long skirts add a nice shirt or blouse and you have a neat outfit. If you haven't made one before choose the simplest one to make, make sure you have everything you need and don't panic if you have any problems, you can always remove the stiches and do it again.

Title: Fantastic for Ren Faire or Re-enactment
Review: These bodice patterns are perfect for ren faire or re-enactment costumes! I made one for ren faire and easily attached a skirt to the bodice itself for an easy-to-wear piece. Wonderful and easy to use!

Title: Beware -- pattern sizes do not correspond to US dress sizes!
Review: It has been a long time since I have sewn from a pattern -- I gather this is typical but I wish I'd known before ordering. The body size chart is not on the outside of the pattern, only deep inside on the instructions.

Review: I've used this pattern 3 times now and made different sizes and styles and it's great. I wear a ready-to-wear size 12 and find the 14 is a good fit on the waist but I do an adjustment for the bust. With the lacing, it is easier to make it fit than a fully tailored garment. It does require grommets or button holes, however, so be aware of the extra notions you may need for it! Easy to follow instructions and easy to edit - I like to hide my raw edges by sewing the lining and main fabric wrong sides together and flipping rather than putting a tape round the edge.

THE END
