Get hot water where it's needed, when it's needed with the Bosch ES2.5 Tronic 3000 T Electric Water Heater. This 2.5-gallon capacity point-of-use mini-tank fits right under your sink and provides a practical and effective solution to your hot water needs. This smaller model can be plugged right into a 120-volt outlet with the 36-37" cord, or can be installed in-line with a larger hot water source to provide "on-demand" use. The glass-lined tank offers great insulation and added durability, while the heater's fast recovery rate eliminates long waits for hot water. An external dial allows you to easily control the temperature range, and the temperature-and-pressure relief valve enhances your safety. The ES2.5 Tronic 3000 T from Bosch has a sleek and attractive exterior design that blends in seamlessly with existing décor when installed in a visible location, making this heater a great option in any room.
Troubleshoot: (1) Water does not get hot- * Make sure the power supply is on and working * If the indicator light works properly but temperature does not get hot at the tap, test for a plumbing crossover; shut off cold supply to heater and open hot water tap. There should be no water flowing. Any continued flow indicates a crossover which will effect the temperature and will need to be corrected * Call a qualified service technician to test the resistance of the heating element (8-10 ohms). Heating element should be replaced if readings are outside these values (2) Leaking- * Check water fittings and T & P fitting on top of tank * Remove front cover and inspect heating element gasket * If tank is leaking call Bosch Water Heating for warranty claim if still within warranty period * Check anode rod. Other troubleshoot solutions are available on the installation manual Pg-11.

Title: These things are great
Review: First time I ever used a tankless water heater was in China 20+ years ago and I was sold on them the very first time. Works like it should. Easy to install. Only when you use it. Mine is under my bar sink. Saved running a hot water piping on the other side of my house. . So not only do you save by not heating water all the time, but also on the extra plumbing to run hot water to your location.

Title: Great Improvement To My Kitchen. Just Be Sure To Check The Size
Review: This 4 gallon mini-tank heater is perfect for my kitchen. The total cost for the tank and the installation was about $325.00âhigher in my case because the tank did not quite fit under the sink and I had to move it to a cabinet 6 feet away, on the other side of the dishwasher. This added the cost of two 6 foot hoses, two brass connectors, and a 12 guage extension cord. The normal cost would be under $300.I opted to abandon the hot water at the sink and run only cold water into the mini-tank. This way, running hot water in the sink never impacts my gas water heater. The downside is that I can run out of hot water at the sink, if I use too much at once, but the upside is that it saves a lot more energy and water. By turning up the temperature on the Bosch to ¾, I have eliminated the chance of running out for my own needs. My sink is located about 30 feet from my water heater, which is actually more like 40â of piping. It was taking a good 30 seconds to get hot water every time, and I started collecting the 2 gallons of wasted cold water for my outdoor garden. Now the hot is basically instant. Because of the unusual 6â distance, it takes one second to get hot water. If it were under the sink it would be quicker. Installation was quite easy. Even with this less desirable location, the hoses and extension cord passed easily behind the dishwasher. I did it myself, no plumber or electrician required. Why not get a demand water heater for the kitchen sink? Money. Any demand water heater you buy will require a new, dedicated electrical line with a dedicated breaker. This will easily cost you $1500 or more for the electrician to install it.A demand water heater retrofit really only makes sense if you are replacing your main water heater, and in my case, I would STILL want my mini-tank, because the distance problem would not be solved. It would make some sense to have a demand water heater installed at the sink for NEW HOME construction, but the retrofit is far too expensive to justify. Now that I have converted my sink hot water usage from gas to electric, I can start working on converting to solar. Get this mini-tank. It will save you water and energy, even if you connect it to the hot water line. What you will need for a standard, under-the-sink installation:2 ½ânpt to 3/8â compression hoses, 2â long1 3/8â compression tee1 3/8â female to female connector (male on both ends)Aluminum water heater panYou will use the connector to connect the 2âlong 3/8â hose to the hot water hose for the sink tap.For my installation, I used the following:2 ½â npt to 3/8â compression hoses, 1â long2 3/8â dishwasher supply hoses, 6â long3 3/8â female to female connectors, two to connect the 1â hoses to the 6â hoses,1 3/8â compression tee1 12 gauge extension cord, 8â longAluminum water heater panDepending on your kitchen and location, you may want to plumb a PVC pipe into the over-pressure valve and either to a floor drain or to the outside. My kitchen has waterproof tile floors, so I can take a chance on an overflow filling the drain pan and spilling out onto the kitchen floor. I can just mop it up.I connected the 6â DW supply hoses to the 1â hoses. It was the easiest way to get the long 3/8â compression hoses to connect to the ½â npt connections at the water heater. Oh also, you need a good flashlight or headlamp, and a couple of pairs of adjustable spanners (small crescent wrenches).Note: Technically, you will need an electrician to install the 7 gallon version, but it does not require a new or dedicated circuit, as it still only pulls 12 amps. If you are comfortable connecting the electrical line into your existing box, you will be OK. Add a little cost for connectors or possibly a larger electrical box. In some municipalities, you may need a permit and inspection because this may qualify as adding an electrical circuit. The 7 gallon would be nice, but it also takes longer for the tank to heat and takes up more room. All good products though.I updated this on 3/19/2022 to correct some typos.

Title: Laster 7 years
Review: This BOSCH Electric Mini-Tank Water Heater Tronic 3000 T 2.5-Gallon (ES2.5) lasted 7 years. It finally broke last week and flooded my bathroom floor a bit. It's not a big deal, to be honest. It performed very well for the 7 years I got out of it. Overall a good product.

Title: Best portable water heater.
Review: This water heater is so diverse. You can put in in and remove it in leads than 15 minutes. I have installed at least thirty of these over the last ten years and have only ever had a problem out of one of them. They used to be sold under a different name but they are still the same. Easy to install and easy to adjust temperature.

Title: Buy at your own risk
Review: This is the first time that I have ever reviewed a product, good or bad. However I feel I need to. Do NOT buy this product.I did and less than 12 months in use the tank leaked during the night. No small leak either, I was in kitchen about 1:30 am no leaking and by 6 am water all over floor with seepage through basement ceiling. Messy and costly clean up. Unit was recommended by contractor as he had installed in his home and others in years past with no faulty issues. Mine was installed in late June 2023. It worked well initially and I was thrilled. Determined leak from tank itself not at any connections points. Unit has 8 year tank leakage warranty. Note reviews have been more negative since the fall of 2023. Question if Bosch had quality control change in past couple years. Label with serial number notes being made in China now. Correlation ??? I contacted Bosch per warranty and told to have contractor contact their tech support. He did and was given instructions to take apart, photos etc. routine needed to have Bosch decide IF qualified for warranty replacement coverage. Contractor asked Bosch tech about noted history of water leakage issues in the recent year and tech was totally SILENT. Contractor asked if he was still on phone and tech did then respond he was but would not address leakage problems. This makes me suspect Bosch is aware of problem. I told contractor not to bother with trying to obtain replacement as I am NOT interested in dealing with water all over again. However I did not expect partial cash refund do to earlier responses from Bosch's customer service but I called again and asked if they had partial cash refund option. Wasn't surprised that they didn't but it DID surprise me that I was told to have contractor call Amazon and seek refund from them. WHY?? Decided to play the game and I shared experience with Amazon's customer service assistant, no surprise, no partial refund there either. Point made. Amazon is aware of issue in selling this product..if they choose to continue to....BUYER BE WARE.. YOU ARE WAISTING YOUR MONEY AND RISK ADDITIONAL EXPENSE IN WATER DAMAGE REPAIRS.Good luck.

Title: perfect
Review: Easy to install. Took 20 mins. Gets hot quick. I have 3/8 connections. The inlet and outlet are 1/2. So I got a 1/2 to 3/8 hose from Home Depot and then I got a 1/2 to 3/8 adaptor. Total cost was like $15. We will see how long it holds.

Review: ¡Es El Bosco!

Review: My wife and I moved into a new house where the kitchen sink is as far removed from the hot water heater as is physically possible. It took about 2 minutes for hot water to arrive from the 70 ft distance. Since the water lines run in a concrete slab, even after hot water arrived, a slight pause in flow had a great cooling effect. This water heater tank arrived yesterday in the afternoon and we had hot water at the sink before dinner. Plumbing install was a breeze with the PEX lines. The time consuming portion was installing a new receptacle under the sink. With only a day or so of operation, we are ecstatic. Hot water flows within seconds as the attached video shows. I have a reminder to check the anode after 6 months to see how much erosion occurs. Just waiting for an inline valve to arrive and install as per recommended instructions.Shut off valve added and everything is still good. We love this addition to our life.
