Title: Corresponding App won’t work
Review: My son got this for Christmas…seller was great, and game was in great condition. However, we can’t log in to the corresponding app. We’ve tried on multiple phones and IPads. I’ve reached out to customer service. Save your money - game is useless without the app

Title: Awesome TCG! Like Pokemon meets NBA.
Review: My kids (12 and 8) love basketball and board game night, so this was a perfect gift for them. They enjoy collecting their favorite players and reading the cool stats and moves on the back of each tile. I think these game tiles will be worth a lot on day. It's just like Pokemon meets the NBA, so like Lebron James All-Star tile is like Mewtwo and Stephen Curry MVP is like Charizard! Also ordered an expansion set. As a Dad, I'm really enjoying Flex NBA because it keeps me and the kids off our devices and playing together in real life.

Title: My reviews discuss Quality, Ease of Use, and Directions
Review: QUALITYThe pieces were all pretty decent in quality. It was typical thick cardboard. I really like the material the player chips were made out of. The quality was probably the best part of the whole game though.EASE OF USEGame play wasn’t that horrible. But it was NOT easy to figure out the different functions of the game. I’ll start off by saying that there were a lot of pieces missing from the game. This was either a complete cash grab of a game, or NBA just didn’t know what they were doing. I’ll get to the directions and how I understood everything in the next section. But, at the beginning of an advanced match you are supposed to roll an action dice. One of the abilities on the action dice is to substitute your player. The advanced mode has you playing with 5 tiles each and they are all on the board(“court”). So there is no way to use this action with just the tiles provided to you because you can’t sub out a player if no one is on the bench. Another action is level up your player. You do this by replacing the basic character tile with its leveled up version (which aren’t provided in the box). Then don’t get me started on the app. This was not thought through at all either. The game has you download the app but does not do a good job explaining what you can do on the app. You have to put in your birth date and create an account. I didn’t quite figure the app out myself. BUT, in the app it has you register your player tiles. You do this by scanning the barcode on your actual player tile pieces. DONT do this, as it immediately locks those players into that account, belonging to whoever created the account. The tile can no longer be added to another account once you do this.DIRECTIONSThe game basically doesn’t come with instructions. It has a little reference sheet but it fails to explain ALOT of information. Take the level up and substitute action from above that I explained As an example. The reference sheet provided in the box do not explain whether you reroll the dice if it lands on an action you can’t perform or if you lose that roll. The directions are only provided to you through videos on the Flex NBA website. They have you begin with a “basic” game. There’s no instructions in the box about this basic mode. It almost seems like a mode some random person created to have you play. For instance, there’s an attack described in the beginner game video called “Splash”. This ability is not found anywhere in the box, not on player tiles, the instructions or the board.EXTRASJust stay away from this game. It’s not thought out. It’s a cash grab. And I don’t see these collectibles going anywhere. If you found this review helpful please upvote.EDIT: Dropped to 1 star from 2 because I contacted Flex NBA (which I can only assume is nba customer service of some sort) through the app about their app. I got an automated email saying we are out for the weekend but no human actually responded to me or contacted me back and it’s been 2 weeks.

Title: Save Your Money - NBA Flex is Shutting Down
Review: CEO and Sequoia Games consistently made empty promises in their official discord chat and have announced that the game is being discontinued (app is currently not functioning as well). The strategy behind this product feels like they put all the eggs in the NFT basket and after they became worthless, so did this game. They also ran a competition in the fall of '22 requiring customers to buy their product for entry, then post to social media if you pulled a "flex gold". The winner of that competition has yet to receive their full prize....almost 400 days after the competition has concluded.Do yourself a favor, don't support this company or product that is completely worthless and wont be receiving any more updates.

Title: A Little Gimmicky, but Fun
Review: This seems like a pretty logical evolution in the sports trading card game space. Yes, it doesn't technically use "cards", but the principle is the same.At its core, the game is essentially a duel between 2 players and you are just trying to "do enough damage" to beat your opponent. It doesn't necessarily involve any basketball gameplay, but more uses that as a theme or "skin" to the game. It's not quite enough to make the experience feel like you're playing basketball on a tabletop, but it's not a bad attempt. The gameplay is decent and straightforward enough, though it can get complex at times. There are two levels of difficulty/complexity built-in to the game and you can use that to flavor it to your liking. I went for the more complex version when I played it, and admittedly haven't tried the basic one.My biggest complaint is actually with the company that made it, because the box doesn't come with any rules or booklet, but rather links to videos of varrying helpfulness that teach you how to play. I had to watch several of these and seek some outside (third party) videos and articles in order to grasp the concepts. Once I got it down it wasn't so bad, but being a board gamer, I certainly prefer a rulebook included. That being said, the game was still fun, but I wouldn't say it's the best "duel" type of game out there. It's above average certainly, and I give it somewhere between 3.5 and 4 stars.Oh I didn't really use the app since I found it clunky, a larger size than I wanted to keep on my phone, and I didn't really care about the augmented reality aspect. Just not my thing but nothing against the game itself.

Title: Christmas Present
Review: Overall: The premise looks very cool. Augmented reality game, based upon a pog trading card. The concept is sound, create a trading card that allows you to trade cards and such and then make a board/augmented reality game out of it.THIS IS A CHRISTMAS PRESENT SO I WILL REPLACE THIS REVIEW AFTER THE HOLIDAY SEASON. I APOLOGIZE, BUT I CREATED A PLACEHOLDER

Title: Great!
Review: This game is a lot of fun. My 12 and 10 year old are obsessed with basketball, so this was the perfect game for them. They really like collecting the add-ons of their favorite players. It's very neatly integrated with tech and lots of fun!
