Indie director Henry Jaglom (Deja Vu) helms this unconventional drama about the relationships between fathers and daughters. However, Irene in Time goes beyond just the present and examines the effects that this bond will have on the daughters' romantic futures. Hollywood Dreams star Tanna Frederick reunites with her director, as do members of the crew.

Title: Gotta love Tanna!
Review: I thought Irene in Time was sooooo fun! Independent films are much more rich than the normal Hollywood fare. Tanna Frederick is such a gutsy actress, no fear. Enjoyable music, nice supporting cast. Hollywood Dreams is a good one also.

Title: Pathetic, awful movie- only topped with a song about Starbucks
Review: The ridiculous role of Irene is everything that can be wrong with women who trap themselves in a weak role in life. Everything about her angers and frustrates me. Her obsession with her "Daddy" left me wondering when it will end. The cutaways to the in-studio songs were unbearable... horribly written songs (one referring to Starbucks of all things) sung in a very mediocre fashion. Her over-reaction to the balloons and how they remind her of her Daddy should have sent the guy packing. The only thing I liked about this movie was the nice architecture of the houses they used as homes.

Title: Unusual and Haunting
Review: Unusual and HauntingCheck this out if you have ever judged your life through the eyes of another, or have tried to please a long-gone person you loved. The protagonist struggles to find out who she is and who she can love. No one measures up to HER remembered image of her father. Sweet, poignant, and sad.

Title: It is worth your attention
Review: What an amazing actress. Such an array of emotions - her face seems to be transparent. Love never dies and the longing never dims for some. So sorry it is only a dream.

Title: Sucks from the first frame.
Review: When the main character first appears, she has a phony, stupid smile plastered on her face as 2 men tell her stories of her father and then she is seen with various dates where she blabbers out stupid banter and the men quickly get turned off and ditch her. So, from the start we have a main character that is so obnoxious and phony to the audience so that we are quickly turned off to the whole movie in short time. Not a way to start a movie. I did not even want to wait and see if the character would eventually figure things out and seem likable, or at least tolerable, which I doubt she did. A failure of a movie. Do not waste your time, there are many better options.
