Title: The only resource you need to pass the EM Shelf!
Review: Let me preface this by saying I am not a good standardized test taker. My scores are nothing to write home about. This is the only resource I used to study for the EM shelf. No UWorld, no Case Files. Just Pretest and whatever was in my school's didactic lectures. I did one pass through the questions and then reviewed the explanations for any questions that I either missed or got right but had to guess on. My first pass, pre-review percent correct was somewhere in the low 60s.On exam day, I got like 3 hours sleep the night before and started running out of time toward the end. On the last 20 questions, I flew through the first ten carelessly because I didn't really have time left to think, and then I just straight up guessed on the final ten questions and actually ran out of time and didn't answer the last question. I thought for sure I failed and was going to have to remediate. A week later, I got my score report back. I passed with a 71!!! Needless to say, I was quite elated. Given my struggles on the last 20 questions, it stands to reason that I was probably answering at least at a 75-80% clip on the questions before that. Some of the questions on the shelf actually seemed to be paraphrased from questions in this book, testing the same concepts. The point of all this is, if someone like me can use this as their exclusive resource and still pass with several points to spare despite the trifecta of being a naturally poor test taker, having decreased cognitive capacity due to lack of sleep, and running out of time with 20 questions left, then imagine what it can do for you! Pretest is by far adequate just to pass, and an invaluable tool to combine with other resources for those looking to honor (though I can't say which other resources would be best for those hoping to score >90% because I didn't use any).

Title: Nice Q&A
Review: I'm a Japanese Surgeon, and I'm looking forward to doing medical practices overseas in the future after COVID-19 pandemic. I can learn basic medical terms and practical knowledge's from broad specialities from this book. In addition, I've been watching ER DVD in English sound and subtitles. I hope my English skill would improve and can get an opportunity to work abroad. Thank you!
