Deeply moving but never sappy or sentimental, What Difference Do It Make? answers its own question with a simple and emphatic answer. What difference can one person (or two) make in the world? A lot!

Title: Refreshing to My Soul
Review: Ron Hall and Denver Moore just released a second book, What Difference Do It Make?, the follow-up to Same Kind A Different As Me. While these men thought they had told all there was to tell of their story, they were wrong. People around the country have been transformed by their story. It has brought hope, healing, and a new future to many. This book is structured like the last, with a chapter by Ron, followed by a chapter by Denver. In addition to writing more about their own stories, there are chapters about our stories! Ron and Denver share stories from around the country of people who have been touched by Same Kind A Different As Me.This book was a joy to read and refreshing to my soul. The problem of homelessness is addressed more directly in this book than in the last and ended with hope. The authors actually give helpful solutions for how we, as Christians, can help eliminate homelessness. That said, this book is not a how-to. It's a narrative of these men's stories - their faith, how they became friends, the woman the brought them together, and what their story looks like now. I highly recommend this book. And while they have included enough to fill new readers in, I recommend reading Same Kind A Different As Me first. Just as this book, it was truly life changing.I am a part of Thomas Nelson's Book Review Blogger program: [...]Nonetheless, this review is my personal evaluation of the book.

Review: Didn't even know this book existed and stumbled upon it while looking for something else. Can't wait to read it since it is #2 in the Ron Hall series behind Same Kind of Different As Me. Which was amazing....

Title: How to love the world - red and yellow, back and white.
Review: How to be Jesus’ hands and feet. This sequel is equally inspiring. God wants us to really love others like he does. That includes anyone he puts in your path, and to seek out those in need such as those homeless or in prison. I think this book is a must read for Christians and non religious people. Love one another. See what kind of difference it indeed makes. From a cancer patient who has learned to look every where for how she can serve. Not expecting to be served, just serve.

Title: Great follow-up to Same Kind of Different As Me
Review: I am a member of Thomas Nelson's Book Review Blogger program [...] and received an advance copy of this book. I finished reading What Difference Do It Make? last night and was reminded why Same Kind of Different As Me is on my list of "Books You Should Read If We're Going to Be Friends." One of the reasons I loved Same Kind of Different is that it is a multilayered book. One chapter convicted me about my blindness to the need around me while a few pages over I was praying for a deeper commitment to my marriage. What Difference Do It Make? has just as many layers. I was excited to catch up with the authors Ron Hall, a successful art dealer, and Denver Moore, a former homeless man. This book tells what they've been doing since the first book and adds more details to some of the stories we first heard in Same Kind of Different. What Difference Do it Make? also includes accounts of people who read Same Kind of Different and were moved to make a difference. I was excited and convicted to read about people who did more than just read the book and pass it on to a few friends. Instead, they let the message of the book transform them and allowed God to use them as agents of change in their worlds. One of my favorite parts of the book details practical, step-by-step ways each church could make a significant difference in the problem of homelessness and provides counter arguments to many of the excuses we use to not get involved. What Difference Do It Make? is available today. If you've read Same Kind of Different As Me, I'm certain you'll want to read the sequel. If you haven't read Same Kind of Different As Me, why not? While you're buying it, pick up a copy of What Difference Do It Make? because when you finish the first book, you'll be left wanting more. What Difference Do It Make? is a great follow-up.

Title: Life-changing
Review: After reading "Same kind of different as me," then "What difference do it make," I realized it makes a lot of difference. When you live in an area as I do, with many low-income families, I saw how I could allow God to use me to make a difference. I just needed to apply some of the principles Denver spoke about, i.e. prejudice, etc. I am trying to see others as God sees them, as children of God. Even attempting to help "a user." This lady has been to every agency, church, etc. for help and doesn't want to do anything about her situtation, which makes it difficult to minister to her. We have quit giving money, groceries, etc. but continue to pray for her as I told her I would. That God would give her a clear picture of what He would have her do. One area of the book that spoke to me about the apathy of others, is when the lady stopped to help the man who was having a heart attack and when she shared what happened with a friend, the friend had no idea of the magnitude of the action...just stayed behind her mask and hid in the closet of life. I want so much to be like Ron and Debbie and embrace a fallen world and minister wherever God wants me to. These two books have helped me open my eyes even wider to minstry to others.Thank you Ron Hall and Denver Moore for your life-changing stories.KB

Title: Excellent book
Review: I purchased this book because I really enjoyed their first book, "Same Kind of Different As Me". I especially liked the style of writing with author, Denver Moore and the other author, Ron Hall, alternating chapters. I usually don't find book covers very attractive, but this book cover is unique, inviting me to open the book. And I was glad I did. There is sadness in their story, but there is much hope with lessons learned. I would recommend this book to those who would like to better understand the homeless and believe there is reason to have Faith.
