Title: Plenty of fun and laughter with a totally determined and committed penguin at flight school.
Review: The delightful drawings lead readers through the adventures of a protagonist who wants to do the impossible and become what he was not meant to be. By the end he is so satisfied with the compromise his friends have arranged for him that he wants them to do the same for some even more unlikely characters.No one gives up and everyone wins in the end--except perhaps the kind and over-zealous flight school instructors. Parents and children can talk about what they are likely to do now. (Maybe they can open a balloon school?)

Review: 空を飛びたいペンギンのお話です。飛び方を教えてくれるflight schoolに入学しますが、同級生たちが飛べるようになる中、ペンギンだけ飛べません。意気消沈して帰宅しようとしたペンギンに対し、妙案を思いつく先生たち。ペンギンに羽をくくりつけ、そして、紐を先生が引っ張ることで空を飛ばせてあげます。夢が叶って大喜びで帰宅したペンギン。まもなく、空を飛びたい友達のダチョウを連れて戻ってきました。と言う、ストーリーなのですが。飛びたくて頑張るペンギンの気持ちになりきるのでしょう。一喜一憂しながら子供はのめり込んでいました。飛べた時は拍手喝采。英語としてはそこまで難しくなく、読みやすいです。絵が語ってくれます。
