Title: Great Resource if it correlates with your class!
Review: The E&E series are a wealth of information - but you must be sure it corresponds with your class. Your professor might focus on different issues, explain things in a different way, or expect a certain analysis that these books may not cover. They are great for explaining a general concept, but will not be tailored to your professor's answers. In conjunction with class notes, it is likely that they will be able to clear up any confusion you might have.In my experience, the Torts and Civ Pro E&E's were very helpful and correlated with my class well. Contracts and Crim Law were less helpful, but I'm sure would be a perfect fit for some professors. I recommend looking at the book in your library before purchasing to see if it will be a good fit for your professor.

Title: Very Helpful
Review: This is an easy read, and interesting as far as contract law can be. It really puts the casebook into context. My contracts class uses the casebook from the same author, so it was helpful that the same cases were discussed in each, but this book would probably be useful either way since most casebooks will at least be similar. I also found it helpful that the author uses bold-faced type for key words, which is great for studying even if you don't have time to read the whole book. I didn't start using it until preparing for my final exams, but next semester I will definitely use it as supplemental reading.

Title: Wouldn't of made it through without!
Review: This book is a must for 1L's taking contracts. I had Contracts the 1st semester of Law School and was overwhelmed with work and reading. My teachers assigned reading was all cases and I felt I could never grasps the concepts with the casebook alone. After a few recommendations from some friends, I purchased my first E&E. By the time final exams came around, I was able to really grasp all the concepts and I was also able to write out a few examples using the questions from the book.I would recommend this book to anyone in Law School or anyone who wants to get a better grasp of Contract Law. For Law school I would look through the table of contents and read the E&E chapters when you are going over the specific topic in class. You can also try to write out some of the answers and have your teacher review them. No matter how many books you read, always remember you are taking the teacher and not the class. If your teacher defines something a little different then a book, follow the teacher. Good Luck!

Title: Pre 1L prep
Review: I used this to prep before my first year of law school. That was very helpful. I started off quite strong in this course. I wish I had used it more during the semester. Instead I very foolishly went down the road of reading the casebook, expending too much effort on my memo and getting all wrapped up in the day to day hectic nonsense of law school. Had I done it right I would have never opend my case book and just used this to take practice tests. In November all my clasmates were reading this book.

Title: Supplement to Contracts
Review: This book is called an Example & Explanation book. It helps readers/students who are trying to learn, or who are enrolled in a Contracts course understand the important principles and concepts relating to the various laws and theories of Contracts. It is a great study aid/supplement for students enrolled in Contracts. The text clearly explains the laws governing Contracts and how the laws work in factual scenarios. Each chapter covers an important concept of Contracts and gives questions, along with answers, to aid the reader in understanding how the laws and theories of Contracts apply.

Title: Just too much
Review: I'm surprised by the positive reviews, as my classmates and myself universally pan this book. It is far to preoccupied with theory and policy. The chapter on consideration was especially poor. How many flowcharts do we need to understand detriment (I'd argue "zero.")? I found myself ignoring this book all semester and relying on Calamari & Perdillo instead. I'd give this review one star except it didn't actually impair my knowledge of contracts. Your milage may vary.

Title: Marginal Value
Review: I did not find this as helpful as listening the to the lectures and performing the reading. I guess if one to could attend all lectures, perform all assigned reading, handle extra-curriculars and do the additional reading it might be worth it. But I found very few people have the time to do all that. I did not find this a good substitute for the doing the assigned readings and appearing in lectures, but it can be helpful if you come across a troubling case. I found the value marginal at best.

Review: This was a lifesaver. Had a professor who was very direct on teaching and it sometimes was hard to make things concrete and understandable for me. These examples were crucial to keeping me ahead of the curve.
