Title: NOT the novel!
Review: Our bookworm daughter asked for one thing for her birthday: the prequel to the Hunger Games. "Wonderful!" I thought as I looked it up and ordered it. "It will come out on May 19 and make it to our home in time for her birthday on the 24th!" As soon as the package arrived, we whisked it away to be wrapped and presented in due time.Days passed. Her birthday arrived. She excitedly unwrapped the book and flipped through the pages. "Hmmm," she thought to herself. "It has a few blank pages before the story starts. Wait ... where IS the story?" Her excitement turned to puzzlement as she admitted to us that the entire book was blank.Bad form, Scholastic. When we ordered this, it was labeled as "The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes" with NO mention of "journal" in the title at all. At least they had amended that now. We will be returning this book with a sour taste in our mouths.

Review: I’m an idiot and didn’t read this description carefully enough. Thought I was ordering the book. This is a blank writing journal. It’s beautiful, tho! And really well made. I’ll keep it and give it to my daughter.

Title: Very Disappointed
Review: I thought I was ordering the new prequel to the Hunger Games for my grandson. It is a brand new release and very much desired. Needless to say, it arrived today and the book was blank! No words. So disappointing. Who would want this stupid journal just because it has the name Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes. Now I have to go through the hassle of returning this and reordering the actual book. And my grandson has to wait. There should be a law against this sort of thing.

Title: It is a journal and behaves as such.
Review: I am so confused by all the negative reviews. It's a journal, and a nice one at that. It has... lines for writing, and a ribbon bookmark, you know, journal stuff. As a huge THG fan, I had added this to my list as soon as I saw it, knowing full well it was a journal because it doesn't even look anything like the actual book? And because it says it's a journal several times in the description? Idk what other people were reading in the descriptions, but my guess is... not much.

Review: I also received a journal. Initially I assumed it was an error on my part, but when I went back to read the "product description" it says, "Journey back to Panem with this deluxe Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes writing journal!The world is catching fire again.The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes will revisit the world of Panem sixty-four years before the events of The Hunger Games, starting on the morning of the reaping of the Tenth Hunger Games."This is completely misleading information and what a poor reflection on the distributors!

Review: Scammed! My daughter was so excited to get the package and when she opened it it was not the actual book!! Like all the other reviews, it did not say journal when preordered, it clearly said hardcover! Now it says journal! Very disappointing and deceiving! Want my money back so I can buy it else where! The real book.

Review: Wochenlang habe ich mich darauf gefreut, die Fortsetzung von den Hunger Games in den Händen zu halten. Umso größer war die Enttäuschung, als ich bei Erhalt feststellen musste, dass es sich nicht um das Taschenbuch, sondern nur um ein Notizbuch mit leeren Seiten im Hunger Games Design handelte. Jetzt werde ich das Buch im Handel kaufen.
