Title: Lightweight Power Over Heavy, Bulky Saws
Review: We rely on our three Prazi beam saws for just about everythingâcutting joists, timber beams, and any other work that comes our way. These saws are incredibly versatile, and what makes them stand out is how easily they bolt onto our worm drive saws, saving us the need to carry a big, dedicated beam saw in each trailer. The best part is, the Prazi takes up minimal space, which is a huge advantage on busy job sites and tight trailer storage. While we do own larger, dedicated saws, they weigh nearly twice as much as the Prazi. That added weight makes them cumbersome and difficult to maneuver, especially when cutting posts or beams that are already installed. The Prazi is not only lightweight, but itâs also much easier to handle, giving us the precision and control we need without the strain. For everyday use, itâs simply the better option for usâpowerful, practical, and far more convenient than the bulkier alternatives. If youâre looking to streamline your setup without sacrificing performance, the Prazi is a must-have.

Title: Awesome saw!
Review: The Prazi PR-7000 beam saw is a very quality saw! Built heavy duty . I installed it on a Skil worm drive saw. Easy to attach. I was in the middle of an addition on my log home using a brand X beam cutter. The brand X was cutting crooked. I then purchased the Prazi saw and all my cuts went straight. The hub assembly that attaches to the saw is much heavier duty than brand X! I do recommend spraying some sort of lube on the chain after several cuts, as the chain bar does not have an oiler. I used a silicone spray. One other thing to mention, brand X chain had to be tightened after 2 cuts but the Prazi chain went a lot longer.

Title: Prazi 12â beam cutter
Review: So I didnât give a full 5 stars for these reasons:REGARDING 12â model: on a 12x12 beamThe chain & base are rather thin & in order to get precise cuts with no fraying/splinteringthe chain needs sharpening quite often. A simple chainsaw sharpener will work great (kits come with 3 files & a base to hold chain in place. Takes some time, but you can get it much sharper than how it comes from seller)Install was a little finicky on one of my Skilsaws, didnât work on my Makita, but finally worked on my 2nd Skilsaw.Overall itâs a pretty decent tool, itâs much cheaper than buying/renting a beam cutting saw (16â Makita) and saves me the trouble of doing cuts on various faces of a large piece of wood. That being said, Iâm using this Prazi blade as a means of cutting 1â thick pieces of end grain off of a 12x12 beam. Itâs doing the job but it requires a lot of maintenance to rip through a heavy piece of lumber like this.If youâre a hobbyist or doing 1 or 2 jobs this is a great and relatively inexpensive tool to have (beam saws go up to the $700-800 range for large quality tools and generally cut up to 6 3/4 inches).I still have about 44â of wood to cut with this little Prazi attachment, I hope it can do the job.ONE THING TO NOTE!!!Being that my project is a heavy piece of lumber, I may be pushing this Prazi blade too much. One of the photos I attached shows one of the bolts that holds the chain base to the worm drive fitting (which in turn attaches to your circular saw). It broke on Friday afternoon & I was forced to replace it with a machine screw from the local steel shop. Ive also attached a photo showing that the threads are starting to strip on the attachment itself. All in all, pretty good product, just be aware that not every circular saw is the same so do your research before you order. Also, if you are trying to cut thicker pieces than 12â I would suggest going with the 18â model made by Prazi. If Prazi products donât work for you, thereâs a lot of information out there on rigging a chainsaw to a jig made of 2x4s to get precise and level(ish) cuts.Work safely

Title: A+ customer service
Review: This attachment does work really well for cutting wood > 3â thick. When itâs working, it cuts an 3â walnut slab like butter. After a couple of uses, the bearings stripped. I sent a message to their support and someone got back to me within the hour, on a Sunday, no less! He explained what happened, how to prevent, and is sending me new bearings to fix the attachment. THAT is how you do customer service!

Title: Great Idea, bad execution
Review: Was excited to get it and mount to my shiny new Makita saw to cut some 12"x12"x4' blocks I acquired. Everything was going but had to use some shims that didn't come with the saw to make the bracket line up properly to the fence rail. Oh, the direction suck, I had to use a YouTube video for assembly. After setting up a straight edge I made a beautiful cut. Let everything cool down and sprayed some silicone lubricant on the bar and chain as recommended. Got half way through second cut and the gear box and began to freewheel. Dropped it and the saw off at UPS less then an hour later. Disappointing!

Title: Doesn't fit on two different DeWalts 🙁
Review: I have a new saw I went and bought and a two year old DeWalt, didn't fit either one. Went and dug out a very old Ryobi I've had forever with a bigger bolt than supplied and it fit perfectly once I found a bolt that would fit out of my bolt bin. Cuts good but if your a novice user, make yourself a straight edge to get rid of the wavyness. It's also hard to see a line due to the chips that it throws up and guess that's to be expected. Other than that, it's a great tool to have, was surprised to see a chain adjustment because some of the others don't have one. just hope it lasts!

Title: Easy to set up and use
Review: Very simple to install and use. Works great for cutting large beams for timber framing. Much lighter to work with and deeper cuts than my 16" Makita. I spray the blade with silicone before each cut and occasionally during a cut if I feel it's needed.
