Title: James Patterson's The Defense Lawyer
Review: James Patterson doesn't disappoint. Although it's a true story it reads like an exciting fiction. Although I was alive at this time I don't remember the story and the names kind of ring a bell. Interesting to learn the facts. Bernie was quite the lawyer.

Title: I think this book could have been shortened by a few chapters.
Review: This book was just a little long, it just kept on going on after I thought it ended a out three times. I'm glad at the end that it showed that he finally retired. Not one of my favorites from Patterson.

Title: Interesting Biography!
Review: This reads as a thriller. But the events actually happened. And with the help of Barry Slotnickâs family it has an authentic feel. It is also narrated by one of Barryâs sons, Stuart. I enjoyed seeing the legal system through the eyes of this lawyer. He has altruistic goals even when defending what we would call some very bad people.

Title: Just how I like it
Review: I've found myself intrigued by true crime and biographies related to true crime lately. I was thrilled to jump into this one; it promised a great story.First, I want to start off with know what you're likes are in reading material and know what you're jumping into. I've seen a few DNFs on this one because "it was boring". After doing a little searching, those who found it lacking are not the target audience for this book. If you're a romance reader, this is definitely one you are necessarily going to enjoy. (I would think that would be without saying.)This book didn't start out the way I had expected. It wasn't fully about the one case that I expected it to. It's a bit more complex than that. Mr. Slotnik's life in itself was complex. From the colorful clientele to his personal life, nothing was normal for this accomplished attorney.I enjoyed seeing all the sides of this complicated attorney and the variety of cases his career took him on. I have never understood the allure of being a criminal defense attorney. But to each their own. This book had me intrigued and glued to the pages from the start to finish. I couldn't stop turning the pages. I found myself completely enthralled with Slotnik's life.
