Title: Very Nice drain pump !!!
Review: I bought this to replace a drain pump that did not last a year I bought from Lowes. This unit would be better described as an actual sump pump that is inside a plastic bucket instead of a hole in your floor. It is a hair noisy, but it really fills up before the pump comes on to drain the bucket. I have it on a utility sink and the washing machine drains into that. Highly recommend this product.

Title: Noisy
Review: The pump works well. Relatively easy to install. Itâs noisy when it runs but since itâs in the basement noise doesnât matter.

Title: For New Owners
Review: I bought mine about nine years ago and replaced the pump once during that time. I am going to give you some suggestions that might improve your experience. I am not a plumber or an expert. I am not responsible for any water damage to your property for following my suggestions. That's your problem.First of all - prepare for the worse !! There will be a malfunction or failure; you must be ready beforehand when that occurs. The container is not waterproof !! A washer can put out 10 to 20 gallons, and that water has to go somewhere. The container is not designed to hold all that water, so have a plan in place for it beforehand. Many sinks do not hold that much water either. I placed my container in a storage bin to catch the overflow. See the first picture. The bin was from Walmart and can hold about 18 gallons. This one thing is the most important thing to know. HAND-TIGHTEN THE ATTACHMENT TO THE INLET OPENING !! In fact, hand-tighten all the attachments since it is made of plastic. Put a message on the top of the container to remind your future self only to hand tighten it or never remove it once it is on. Too Tight, and you will crack the plastic. The Inlet is the weakest part of the container. Picture two shows a message to my future self. You can suffer malfunctions due to what is put down the drain. The pump uses a floating lever on a shaft that rises and lowers with the water level. Too much lent, dirt, and solvents, like paint, can make it malfunction. Best to just let only water go down the drain. Picture three shows a lent catcher. This will likely extend the life of the pump as well.So what if you do break the plastic inlet (seen in other posts and which I did nine years later since I didn't leave a message to myself)? All may not be lost. This is a costly investment; you don't want to buy a new container. A recommended glue for plastic is pictured above. If you glue the inlet, the attachment must be put on; oh, so softly !! I don't know if superglue works; you can try at your own risk.Another option is to have the 1 1/4 pipe coming from the sink bypass the attachments and go all the way inside the container. This is what I did with the glue. I reamed out the attachments to allow the 1 1/4 inch pipe to slide all the way through to the container. Make a note. The attachments are 1 1/2 to 1 1/4 with a 1 1/2 pipe between them, allowing the sink pipe to slide inside, bypassing the crack case. Picture four shows the pipe going through the attachments. Plumbing parts are expensive. Make sure my idea works for you before laying the money down.Lastly, You will want some way of warning yourself that the pump failed. You may not see the water in the sink if you run a load and then return hours later to put it in the drying. By then, all the water could be in the basin vs in the sink. Failing to recognize the failure will only lead to water damage even after your good effort. I got a see-through basin to check before running the wash. I am sure there are other ways to help warn you of a failure. I suggest doing some research and preparing for the worse to avoid water damage.

Title: Very effective.
Review: Looks well built, solid construction, quiet enough, pumps water quickly, float valve shuts it off when the bin is emptied. Their piping instructions seemed a bit wrong to me, almost circular in their suggestion, they said it was code but I don't think so. Instead, I ran a stand-alone vent pipe up the wall with a quick vent on top, and a 2nd pipe tied into a waste line, and the 3rd pipe to accept the washer machine dis-chare. Simplified the loopy thing they suggested. Picture shown testing with a garden hose running full blast, it kept up just fine.

Title: Critically broke within 24 hours of use
Review: Dissapointed I bought the additional warrantee as it will only allow me to experience another tragic event with this product. The cheap plastic cover has a molded flange area at the exit pipe location that is flawed and fragile. I set it up it worked well for a few uses and the next day was not pumping water out - evidently cracked and broke completely off - being it was a flex hose and its own back flow valve it wasn't something you can really over tighten and i used a silicone sealant as well because I don't want to over tighten plastic -As usual I am dissapointed with quality of another product - Nearly Everything is made to crappy standards by people that don't give a crap about what they do

Title: Perfect Fit
Review: This item is compact and perfect for small spaces. I use it in my garage where I installed a washer dryer. The pump works perfectly. All the parts needed are included. You just need to adapt your extra pvc to take the water out wherever you need it to go. I highly recommend this item. Good value as well. The powerful pump is a little noisy when pumping the water but for my purpose it's just a couple of seconds.

Title: Great product if your DEAF
Review: Works very well but this pump is VERY VERY VERY LOUD. If you can install it 1/8 mile away from your house you should be ok. If you like watching tv talking to people or if you have pets this isnât for you. Your pets will move out if you put this in your house. No way they will put up with something this loud. So if your Deaf and have no kids it will work perfectly. Oh and you should have all deaf friends and family too.

Review: This is a replacement pump for another one that worked for 15 years with no hassle. We just wanted to replace it with a new one when the time came. Easy to install and reliable. It is expensive for the purpose but it works for our purpose to pump water from a laundry tub to the higher drain.
