Title: Easy to get a sample; step-by-step instructions; very professionally done
Review: This is an update to my prior review:short summary: I found this Biohm Gut test to be informative and tells me what I need to do to maintain and/or improve my gut health. It was well worth my time to do this test.More details:About 39 days after I sent in my sample, I received email that my results were ready. So, I logged into my account online and read the report, which is as follows:Part 1 - tells me my Gut score (shown on a scale from Poor to Good)Part 2 - shows a pie chart of my gut's bacterial and fungal communities to the normal results.Part 3 - tells me whether my gut's bacterial and fungal species are low, normal, or highFinally, there are recommendations (dietary, lifestyle, supplement) for me based on my results.Here is the timeline for this entire process:Day 1: I collected the sample and then mailed it.Day 5: I received an email from Biohm stating that they received the sample.Day 12: I received an email stating that the results are in the last step of being processedDay 36: My results are being reviewed by a NutritionistDay 39: I received email that my results are ready for me to look at.*************************************************************************************************************Prior review:short summary: this BIOHM Gut Test Kit has well-written, step-by-step instructions on how to collect the sample.A pre-paid envelope, with tracking number, is provided.I accomplished the necessary tasks with ease.More details :What's included in the box:a) 1 sterile tube (for collection and transport) containing swab applicatorb) plastic bagb) Personalized identification stickerc) Prepaid return mailer envelopeFirst, I went to the website (URL is provided on the insert card that comes with the box), and registered my information (name, age, email address, etc), gave the website the Identification Number I was assigned, and answered a couple of health-related questions.Second, I collected the sample as follows (I found the directions well-written and easy to understand):1. I opened the cap of the tube and removed the swab applicator (it's like a cotton-tip swab)2. I collected the fecal sample by applying only the tip of the swab against used toilet paper. I made sure the swab tip was full of the fecal sample. It is important that the white part of the swab tip is filled with the sample and no longer white color. As the directions state, "...if the swab [tip] looks white, it is not right..."3. I insert the swab applicator back into the tube.4. I applied my personalized identification sticker on the outside of the tube.note: I did not have to put my name or address on the tube.5. I placed the tube in the plastic bag, and then put the bag in the prepaid envelope.Third, I went to the post office and handed the envelope to the employee at the counter.Four days after I mailed the envelope, I received an email saying that BIOHM received my sample, and that it passed quality control, and is being processed. It will take 4-6 weeks to get the result.Overall, I am happy with this product, as it was easy to follow the steps to get a sample. And, I didn't have to pay for postage. I cannot wait to see the results.I will return to this review and update the review to give a general idea of what's included in the report once I get the report.

Title: Vague, useless results; scammy feel with company pushing their products
Review: Unlike the viome test I ordered and took last year, this test had vague, contradictory (pie chart vs print info) results information. I felt it was a waste of money and useless. Company just pushing LOTS of supplements they sale, which makes me feel like this test kit is something of a scam. 🙁

Title: Easy To Follow Instructions In A Well Put Together Kit
Review: This kit was very well written and thought out. They clearly go through all of the instructions including how to collect and send your sample to their labs. I do want to point out that while I assumed this was going to be a saliva kit it isn't. This is a fecal collection kit. You only need to take a swab off of used toilet paper but if the idea of fecal collection bothers you this might not be something you're interested in. The items in the kit all seem to be very high quality and I had no trouble collecting and sending off my sample.This company is very responsive. I sent out my sample and only a few days later I got an email saying that my sample was received and okay for processing. I guess if you did your sample wrong or there wasn't enough they would send you further instructions from that point. The email stated that it would take 4-6 to receive my results so I don't have a way to speak on that portion of this process but I am very pleased so far.

Review: Well let me just start off with saying I thought this was a saliva test lol !Didnât realize they are going to analyze my poop! I havenât tested or sent off my test quite yet. Not sure I have the courage too. Iâm borderline feeling kinda embarrassed. Iâll be back to update.

Title: Easy test, yep it looks at your poop, long time waiting for results.
Review: It is really fantastic that learning about your gut health is getting so easy and you can use a simple home test to find out about the diversity of your gut biome and also if you have and common bad bacterias that might be causing issues.The test is similar to others different family members have taken in the past. It is always a bit awkward getting the sample but this one works as well as others and you generally don't have to touch anything you don't want to.The only criticism is that it can take over a month to get the results. I understand it can take a while to process but it is important to know when you are ordering the test.Overall reasonably happy with the "BIOHM Gut Test Kit for Gut Health and Digestive Health - Gut Bacteria Test Home Kit with Gut Score, Easy-to-Read Results, and Actionable Recommendations".

Title: Useless, looks like a scam to sell their own products
Review: Very vague and inaccurate results, tested the same stool sample with Viome and results were totally different. They will show a very low diversity just to push the sale of their own solutions, don't believe a thing, use reliable companies that will not sell any other thing.
