Keaw

When Keaw is not working in the rice field, she can always be seen sewing loofah with her child at home. She started this little part-time job 6 years ago, and since then her debt cycle has been ceased. This extra money often goes to the two most important things she once could barely afford: her son’s education and monthly bills.

“Growing rice alone is not enough to provide for my family. I was lucky to have found this group of loofah makers in my hometown. I’m skilled in handicrafts and doesn’t want it to go to waste. I also have more time to spend with my child since I don’t have to leave for other less paid part-time jobs I don’t enjoy. I love this job and my colleagues. Loofah has changed my life for the better”

Mayuree

Mayuree is a farmer, which means even one of these uncontrollable factors can completely ruin her career: awful weather, severe droughts, devastating floods, and all kinds of natural disasters you could imagine. Her income is unstable, and she used to suffer from unpaid household bills. Now things took a drastic turn for the better; with this loofah sewing job, she earns additional money to pay for her necessities, no longer having to wait for the harvest season.

“I have worked with this group of artisans for more than 8 years. Before that, I was clueless about what to do when it wasn’t planting season. I had to go around searching for jobs and hardly spent time with my kids. All these years my life has been different. I stay home with my little ones when I’m not engaged in farming. Our bond is now immensely strong, and we are contented with it”

It can be used anywhere on your body, not just your back. Title: the best refills with new quality
Review: hellowe have ordered several refills and several long wooden scrubbers. the scrubber brush comes with several pads. the first ones we bought worked well and the more we used them, the faster they fell apart. but, remember, you are scrubbing.so, we put it off to the material used in the brush that came apart. it is useless to try and fix the tear or coming apart of the fibers. so, ordering replacement pads was a quick way to get new surfaces for scrubbing. they work rather well and lasted a little longer than the original pads that came with the scrubber unit.now, several worn out pads later, we ordered the latest set of scrubbers and extra pads. someone in the design department must have been listening to the reviews or trial/error in the labs. the newest pad is so well made and much different than the original wooden unit with scrubbing pads from a long time ago. the new pads are thicker, same consistency in the scrub surface, but they dont wear down with rubbing soap on the fibers. also, the stick handle will not come through as there is a thicker material under the string fibers of the scrubbing surface.a great replacement and kudos to the design team or lab investigators from the company. it is a much improved pad and it still fits the original long wooden handle. for the taller people, perhaps a longer wooden handle would be the next option for the testing in the lab. thanks for a great product.

Title: Worth it...with slight modification
Review: The Loofah scrubber is supposed to be attached to the handle by wrapping and tying the connected cords. Problem is the handle narrows at that point and I found the scrubber kept coming loose. There is nothing, no grooves, no notches, nothing for the cord to "catch" on and remain fixed while scrubbing. I drilled a small hole about a third of the way down the handle from the top, just large enough to thread the cords through from opposite sides then tied them together with a square knot. Works like a dream now. Hasn't come loose once. Just cut the cords with scissors when you need to replace the loofah. With this adjustment, easily 5 stars.

Review: Very quick delivery and looks great! My only issue is that the way it’s displayed it looks like it comes with a replacement pad. This my problem due to not carefully reading the information. You can order replacement pads which I certainly will when needed. I would recommend this product & am happy that this product is NOT made in CHINA 😀

Review: It's okay, I guess. The brush/head fitting is quite disappointing, fitting loosely on the handle. This means it pops off after the mildest use. There are a few things you can do to prevent this but it's still pretty loose and less than ideal. I know the idea was to allow the head to be changed but I'd much rather prefer a brush that has a fixed, non-replaceable head. Yes, that would make it disposable but at at least it would be more effective.
