Title: "53 MINUTES OF OLD SCHOOL THRASH"
Review: Enter the Grave ,is the debut of this England's band, the quartet of brothers Matt and Oli Drake (vocals/rhythm guitar and lead guitar, respectively), Ben Carter (drums), and Mike Alexander R.I.P, (bass) doing justice to the old form. The guys even went so far as to enlist the legendary Flemming Rasmussen (METALLICA's "Master of Puppets" and "Ride the Lightning") to produce this bad boy. While definitely not inventive and, unsurprisingly, rather predictable, it is an album of 10 worthy thrash metal tracks that do indeed owe a debt of gratitude to classic retro style of '80s Bay Area thrashThe riffs are darn STRONG with chainsaw speed cutting going on all over the place, and Rasmussen gives the mix a lot of beefDrake's vocals are MUSCULAR and enunciated for maximum impact, a contrast from a lot of the nasally/raspy vocal styles heard from the neo-thrashers of todayThis is enjoyable Thrash, and those who long for a return to the unpretentious approach to metal of the original Thrash era should pick this up without any hesitation. These guys have plenty of talent, and obviously have tremendous respect for the genre.

Title: A good CD worth checking out.
Review: I liked what I heard, just haven't finished listening to it yet. The singer sounds like Tom Araya, not a bad comparison at all. I do prefer Hell Unleashed, especially sound wise.

Title: One of the years best
Review: Evile is another band bringing back the 80's thrash sound. And in my opinion the best. I would dare to say that enter the grave is a future classic. This is thrash of the highest order that can stand beside the best thrash releases of the past and present. Thrash is all about the riffs and these are killer reminding me of early metallica not surprising since flemming rammusen the producer of the early metallica albums is behind this one. The riffs have dynamics and are absolutley crushing. And the vocals are absolutley fantastic fitting the music perfectley. The bottom line is this is a contender for my record of the year and if this dosen't snap your neck then don't have a pulse or are just not into metal plan and simple. And i hope they continue to thrash peoples neck's for many years on. 5+ stars

Title: One of the best of the current wave of thrash
Review: I'm revisiting this after a short break; consistently crushing, wildly energetic entry in the current wave of thrash metal. I understand they've slowed things down on the past two records; not sure that's the best idea, since "Thrasher" and "Armoured Assault" are as good as it gets when talking about the newer thrash bands. While you're at it, I'd suggesting giving Warbringer, Lich King and Revocation a try. \m/

Title: Back to the Thrash...
Review: of the Bay Area style from the time when thrash was still thrash. This cd has it all.Speeeeed, Thrash, Heaviness, all of it! Every track is solid, with the exception of the last track which is so blistering it sounds like a tornado on the back of a freight train. By far the best thrash album of the year. A friend of mine listened to it and said it was too generic, so i told him to go listen to dream theater if he wants complicated stupidity in his metal. What a Jackass he is, but anyway, if you still bang your head to thrashers like Defiance, Annihilator, Xentrix, then do not hesitate to get this one and Enter the Grave.....

Title: Very strong debut
Review: I was sold as soon as I heard the riff at the 0:29 mark from the title track.Very reminiscent of old school Slayer and Metallica, recommended if you like either.Personal favorite: We Who Are About to DieBelieve me when I say it wasn't easy choosing a favorite, all these songs are GOOD!

Title: KILLER!!
Review: I'm a huge fan of 80's thrash metal (a style that faded away too soon) so it's nice to see it coming back, this band is doing an extremely killer job at it,to my ears it's picked up where that scene left off,not retro sounding but excellent songs that are well written with great musicianship and and very strong thrashing metal riffs you can really sink your teeth into....this just made my year!!

Review: Ok, so their influences are pretty easy to spot. But just enjoy an album of pure unadulterated Thrash Metal as it should be done!I saw these guys support Megadeth this week, and they really were in the right company. They understand what their audience like and showed how metal can be done!Buy it, stick your head down and enjoy the riffing!

THE END
