He knew from the very moment he set eyes on her that he wanted her. And he always gets what he wants.

Annabel Preston refuses to get married to some reclusive countryside Marquess at her obnoxious half-brother's behest. And although her fate is set in stone, she's determined to escape it. So, when the time comes for her to be delivered to her intended husband's home, she does only the sensible thing; she secretly leaves.

Having had his heart broken once, Marquess Luke Ashton couldn't care less about love and the complexities that it entails. However, he has a duty to uphold as the heir to the Ashton estate. So, when the earl of Preston proposed marriage to his only sister, he agreed only because of the political benefits attached to the union.

However, when the marquess got news of his bride-to-be’s disappearance, he didn't know whether to be amused or offended. On one hand, he's intrigued by her bold defiance but also, he can't forgive the potential damage to his family's reputation. Driven by a sense of duty, Luke embarks on a pursuit to bring Annabel back and salvage the arranged marriage.

But Annabel Preston is nothing like he expected. She's unlike any woman he'd ever met. Stubborn and fiercely independent, she tests his patience in more ways than one. However, he can't deny her breathtaking beauty and his striking attraction to her.

Title: Marriage of Convenience or True Love - Find Out
Review: Annabel Preston half brother the Earl of Preston is forcing her into a marriage with a man she has never met for his own political gains. She refuses to comply with his desires and runs away to her great-aunt, Lady Seraphina Westbrook’s home.Marquess Luke Ashton happily agrees to marry the Earl of Preston’s sister, he wants the advantages of the political alliance and is not looking for love, after being heart-broken once before. When he hears that his intended has run away, he worries about his family’s reputation and plans to find her. When Luke finds Annabel he is surprised by her defiant nature and how strongly she feels about being forced to marry him. A compromise is reached and they enter a marriage of convenience. Annabel stubbornly resists Luke initially but he is patient and as they spend time together their marriage of convenience turns into a true marriage of trust, love and affection.Without giving away the twists in the story, and secrets that almost ruined the new found affection this couple has developed. Annabel finds herself facing danger and Luke comes to her rescue with help from his friends. I was totally intrigued at this point, and wondered how everything would turn out, and everything was wrapped up quite nicely. The couple remarries because their feelings have changed and they are awaiting a baby, what a beautiful touch to this sweet, clean romance, that I enjoyed.I liked the affection that bloomed between Luke and Annabel but for me, I did not quite feel their connection. A few more touches or kisses might have reinforced their changing affections, and their devotion to each other.I am a fan of Kerri Kastle’s clean, sweet romance stories, some I have liked and other I have loved, I look forward to enjoying more of her stories. I received an ARC (advanced review copy) for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Title: unresolved issues
Review: Although I basically like the story a few things came together without really making sense. Annabel was so upset about Luke’s first marriage but then that issue was totally forgotten. Also they barely had time to be together before she knew she was pregnant. I just think things could’ve been a little better thought out.

Title: Annabel & Luke find love.
Review: Annabel was very unhappy with her half-brother for arranging her marriage with the Marquess and not having met him or had a chance to know him. She meets Luke by a lake but doesn't know he is the one she is to marry. Annabel runs away to her great aunt and is convinced to go a head with the wedding. They get to know each other and talk about the things that interest them. Eventually they fall in love. Life is not smooth for them but Luke realizes how much love there is and their life has some up and downs but eventually smooths out.

Title: Don't cross a strong willed young lady
Review: Although I think this is the latest published by Kerri Kastle, to me it read almost as if it was the first written. It is a nice little venture in Regency England. It has the classic situation of an evil relative who abuses his position as her guardian for his own benefit, not Annabel’s, and that includes an unwanted engagement for his political advancement. Annable refuses to accept this, however, and her flight to reach a safe haven in the city with her Great Aunt triggers the rest of the events in the book.Ms. Kastle’s writing style seemed a bit over descriptive to me at first, distracting me from really getting into the flow of the story. Soon, however, the rhythm of her writing faded into the background as I continued. To me, there are some critical descriptions missing from the narrative which impede the smooth flow. I’d love to know, for example, how her everyday wardrobe appeared and what it looked like. How long did it take to get from the estate to her Aunt’s? What happened to the horse? What happened to the gardener or the young boy who tried to help her? There are no descriptions that indicate how much time was passing between the events in the story. The changes in the couple’s feelings and attitudes towards each other seems at times like a switch was thrown from one page to the next, from strong dislike and distrust to warm feelings and connections without the sense of time passing or what happened to change those attitudes. In that respect, the writing was more like a storyline than a fully developed story. The ending was a surprise to me, and that’s great!! Despite my reservations, I would enjoy reading more of Kerri Kastle.

Title: Love grows despite strange bevinning
Review: A story of greed for political gain and possessions by Reginald and the resulting love story of Luke Ashton and Annabel is intriguing and a delight to read. Pushed together in a marriage of strangers but loves develops as Luke and Annabel learn to care for and respect each other. When Annabel disappears just when they started to care for each other, Luke is beside himself. A search begins to find Annabel. This novel kept me very involved and I could not put it down and read it in one day as an ARC. Highly recommended!

Title: Uhm, no.
Review: None of the characters are developed. It's like reading from a 3rd person point of view for EVERY character. Lord Ashton has a legacy to restore and uphold, and he hates society (repeated over and over). Lady Annabel doesn't want to be told what to do by her stepbrother or society, and yet her dress of choice is apparently the only thing that defines her. I'm at chapter 5 and that's all I know about either character. The cover is very pretty.

Review: A clean story. Premise of story at start was fine and a little different to typical ones, but there quite a few things that are not correct.Firstly on more than one occasion Lady Annabel is called Miss Annabel, including by Lady Westbrook who keeps telling her about correct behaviour! Although as an Earl’s daughter I am sure she would have been trained in all of this.As this is a regency story there would not have been sewing machines at the modistes. I would have expected Marquess to have had a town house in London. If not then explain in the story why rather than ‘find me a quiet inn’. And then the landlord is telling him all about up and coming soirées and saying he is hearing how his search is going. Really? An innkeeper? When searching for Annabel, Luke’s staff say there is nothing unusual - but surely the gardener has disappeared? If not he could easily tell them where she is! The second wedding would have had the traditional wedding liturgy, not what seems to be modern style written by the happy couple. And I am not aware of a Medal of Noble Merit. There are other bits which are odd. Lady Westbrook starts calling Annabel her ward, but she would still be under her half brother’s control, and that Lady would have known that and that if a wedding was imminent then papers would have been signed. I am sure gossip would have reached London so society would know Annabel was betrothed and had fled- there was enough searching going on. Given how Annabel felt I think as soon as she heard Eleanor was alive she would have exploded - it meant her marriage was illegal, plus point was she could walk away and probably would have, although she would be ruined. Sadly storyline deteriorated into an almost classic ‘mysterious megalomaniac’ with an organisation having secret tunnels under London. Sorry too far fetched.

Review: I enjoyed reading this sweet story. It is the story of Like and Annabel, bound by a business deal into a marriage of convenience, for the betterment of both of their families' estates and positions in society. Both entered this union with reluctance, especially isabell, who was a very unwilling bride. Both husband and wife yearned for true love and connection and not cold convention.Though they get off to a rocky start and face twists and turns along the way they emerge victorious. All could have gone to custard, given the evil pride and machinations of Isabel's power hungry, scheming half brother, and the revealing of a supposedly dead wifeTo say any more would ruin this story for the reader. You will enjoy this sweet story.
