Alfred's Basic Adult All-in-One Course is designed for use with an instructor for the beginning student looking for a truly complete piano course. It is a greatly expanded version of Alfred's Basic Adult Piano Course that will include lesson, theory, technic, and additional repertoire in a convenient, "all-in-one" format. This comprehensive course features written assignments that reinforce each lesson's concepts, a smooth, logical progression between each lesson, a thorough explanation of chord theory and playing styles, and outstanding extra songs, including folk, classical, and contemporary selections. At the completion of this course, the student will have learned to play some of the most popular music ever written and will have gained a good understanding of basic musical concepts and styles.

Title: Continues the course well
Review: After successfully completing the 1st and 2nd books in this series, I handed this one to my son. Since he's older, I love that he can play these with a bit less stress than a usual piano-learning series. Many of the songs are recognizable, which helps and makes it more fun. This one is for beginning intermediate players and progresses at a good pace while covering a bit of music theory in the process. I'm just sad that it doesn't continue from here, but then, my son is now ready to tackle some harder pieces of his choice now too

Title: Outstanding Course
Review: Alfred's Basic Adult All-In-One Piano Course Level 3 - is a must for all would like to get a deeper and well rounded understanding about playing the piano! This course continues from Alfred's Basic Adult All-In-One Piano Course Level 2. I was impressed how the course immediately builds upon what was learned in Level 2 - guiding you through with more theory, techniques and exercises. In addition, the course makes it easy to follow, as with what I discovered in Level 2. I was delighted to see the Just For Fun Piano Pieces to play - which gives you a little break from being so serious, however, these Just For Fun Piano Pieces are still building upon your techniques, and sight reading skills. Also this course has added more ambitious piano pieces to play, which are capable for you to play with more practice. I strongly recommend this course as well as all the Alfred's Basic Adult All-In-One Piano Courses Level 1, 2 & 3. Since using these courses for the past 2 years now, I've committed to giving my self 1 hour a day, and sometimes a bit more. Once you get started with these courses you don't want to stop and look forward to practicing and playing the piano. In addition, I strongly suggest to incorporate the playing of scales and cadences whenever you participate in these courses. Once again, these are excellent courses!

Title: Still wonât replace a good piano teacher
Review: This series is good overall. If you canât afford a teacher it will teach you the basics. The progression of difficulty is uneven at times. The series includes basic music theory. Still I just donât see this replacing a GOOD piano teacher as there are many subtleties that a book simply canât teach.

Title: My teacher loves this book series !
Review: Let me start by saying that I am a 24 years old and a really young piano student (barely 4months as I am writing this review).A friend brought me the first book of Afred's series as a gift when he came back from UK while I had already started working on another book with my teacher. When I received the first book I showed it immediately to my teacher, she studied it for a few days and asked me to order the other books of the series, because we are going to work on them. Now I am almost done with the first series (NOT Afred's series. Remember I was already working on another book until i received the first Afred's book) and I am studying Afred's first at the same time. I have to say that Afred's is way above my current one, because it has A LOT well-known songs, the transaction from one technique to another is smoother while making sure that you go from the easier techniques to the most difficult, it has exercises and explanations before you "go on stage" so you know what you are about to face.Overall, 5/5 from me.

Title: This is a fantastic pedagogical series.
Review: I'm a piano teacher, and I've been using this system for years. It teaches chord theory right along with the music so that it makes sense and is easily retained. The music theory becomes part of the general piano instruction, the music is wide-ranging in type and style, and is nicely arranged, presenting a well-rounded musical education. I even use it with children, (who I don't usually accept as students until they are 8 years old,) who might have hands too small to make an octave stretch, because I hate, hate HATE the standard children's series, which take forever to progress, have stupid songs with even more stupid lyrics. *shudder* I'll use those series with younger, less mature students who need to go slower, but the vast majority of my students can handle the adult series, and enjoy it, and the adults really appreciate it.

Review: I have purchase books 1, 2 and 3. Only book 2 came with a CD so had toSend away for the other two CDs which was irritating. The layout and format of the books are excellent and am confident that after workingthrough book one I will have laid a firm foundation for playing the piano. Book one is sufficient to lay the groundwork, I have purchased books two and three because I want to progress to to greater things. It is well illustrated and big in size, would recommend it.Richard Evered
Customers say
Customers find the book's lessons detailed and easy to understand. They find the songs enjoyable to learn and play, with nice arrangements and beautiful classical pieces. The pacing is good, and the progression from level 2 is perfect. Many say it works well for them and other adult learners. The layout is great, and the music quality is recognizable. However, some customers feel the difficulty level is a bit too hard for beginners at first, and the progression of difficulty is uneven at times.
