Title: Mostly great, but with a few errors
Review: Hall has always been a go-to for board review for me. When I saw that there was a new edition available, I snapped it up. Generally, it is just as great as the first edition - but I have found multiple small errors throughout. Some questions are missing the A,B,C, or D designations for the available answers and more than one of the explanations spell something out explicitly, but then state a different final answer (for example: the patient is receiving 0.75 MAC of nitrous and 0.75 MAC of isoflurane. Since MACs are additive, the total MAC would be 1). I have read and re-read some of the answers to be sure I am not missing something, but 0.75 + 0.75 does not equal 1 :/

Title: Great resource, minor typos
Review: I personally trained under both Dr. Hall and Dr. Chantigian and this book is great! There are some small editing issues, such as the wrong letter for the answer choice is listed, ex peds page 168 Q 606 states D as the answer, when it is actual A after you read the explanation. Though I have not found any content errors. I will continue to document these and help with editing on the next edition. They do take it to a more advanced level, great for the advanced boards, though I think all residents should use this from CA-1 year. It is more in depth than True learn for the advanced and gives you more access to different question styles. As for the nurse who wrote the 2 star review, please remove that. Clearly you did not read the description of the book. It is meant for board certification for anesthesia physicians. It is not a reference tool for the PACU.

Title: Books more for experienced anesthesiologist. Practice Q & answers like testing. Not for nurses.
Review: This book is for anesthesiologist who've already been trained. It's not a study guide or introduction. Lots of quizzes. I prefer questions, then rational/answers so you don't get confused. It's not for pacu nurses who want the easy ins & outs of anesthesia.
