Getting started in glass fusing has never been easier with the Fuseworks Craft Kiln. An easy to use beginner/ intermediate level craft kiln with an adjustable electronic timer. Kiln allows you to fully fuse a two layer project in a as little as 15minutes! What else can you do with Fuseworks Craft kiln? -GLASS SLUMPING: Add dimension to your fusing. Ceramic slumping molds allow you to shape the glass by bending (slumping or draping) over a form to make unique art, dishes, and more. Make sure to use 1/2" kiln posts to elevate your mold to let air flow above and below. Work in short intervals to prevent crack due to rapid heat. Start at 5 minutes then wait 30 seconds and repeat 2 more times, then proceed to 10 minutes or until piece is fully slumped. - GLASS CASTING: Create jewelry with substance. Ceramic casting molds come in a variety of fun designs. Simply coat, fill with frit and small glass bits, then fire for perfectly formed shapes every time. make sure to use 1/2" kiln posts to elevate your casting mold to let air flow above and below. Work in short intervals to prevent crack due to rapid heat. Start at 5 minutes then wait 30 seconds and repeat 2 more times, then proceed to 10 minutes or until piece is fully fused. -METAL ENAMELING: Add incredible color to copper shapes. This fast and fun ancient art-form uses powdered enamels applied to a copper metal base to make glossy, gorgeous jewelry and dishes. It only take 5-7 mins to reach a glossy enameled copper piece. So easy! -GLAZED CERAMICS: Paint your way to pretty dishes, tiles and more. You can fire low-fire glazes in your Craft Kiln to make a truly unique home décor. Use pre fired bisque and paint with an under glaze and clear glaze top coat to achieve a perfect finished project. This project takes 25 min to complete. Turn dial to 15 minutes and add an additional 15 after first time runs out. -SILVER METAL CLAY: The possibilities are endless with this kiln. Silver metal clay is a great art form to create authentic silver jewelry pieces. Mold your clay, place onto a small kiln shelf and fire it up in the kiln for approximately 15 minutes. Title: Great for beginners
Review: It’s small and has limitations. Only a timer knob, no temperature controls. Used this to make some test pieces. I have a found that 15 minutes is perfect for a full fuse for 2 layers. I’m going to be able to make smaller items, such as, ornaments, jewelry, small bowls, glass tiles. The stand provided is ok yet, it can fall out and make it difficult to open the hot kiln. So far so good 😊

Title: I'm completely satisfied.
Review: I had an older paragon kiln that had no controls. You plug it in and you unplug it. That was On and Off. So, I really enjoy the timer feature. I don't do 'real' fusing. I mainly fire polish and make faux stones by stacking glass upon itself so I don't get into COE values. And this kiln works great for that. I also make flat glass from broken glass things to use in my other stained glass creations. So, I don't use this kiln the conventional way but it works great for me.

Title: Wears out very fast
Review: I thought I was happy with it but after probably using it about 30 times now the temperature is not consistent. You have to keep an eye on it every single second. I never walk away from it, but this is kind of ridiculous. You have to just keep checking it and checking it and checking it because the temp temperature is not consistent with what it was originally.

Title: Fun with molten glass
Review: Used a microwave kiln for a year. Leveled up with this big girl kiln. It's a step up from the microwave kiln but not quite pro level. If you follow the directions it works great. I watched several YouTube videos before I settled on this one. Have slumped, molded and full fused so far.

Title: Very disappointing
Review: The kiln arrived with a crack along the entire bottom half and a crack in the top part. I fired it about 4 times, using a frit mold, which broke during the fusing process. This kiln should only be used to fire pre-made glass shapes for fusing, this IS NOT a kiln that works well with glass frit casting. Even slumping molds will not work with this kiln. For the amount of money I paid, I would have been better off buying a programmable kiln or a ceramic kiln. If you just want to fuse 2 pieces of glass together, then maybe it might be worth it, but not in my opinion.
