Title: Great product
Review: Our 100 lb (at the time) German Shepherd had to have a fairly major abdominal surgery recently, and also had to be neutered in the process. The cone the vet provided was the size of a large lampshade and we had to look for an alternative. This brand was the only one that was appropriately sized for large dog and it worked out great. Stretchy and easy to put out, Ragnar did not fight when we put it on him, in fact he seemed to enjoy wearing it. And I think it gave him a sense of security wearing it. And it cleaned up easily in the washer. Highly recommended if your large dog has any type of surgery!!

Title: Smudge LOVES his “super suit”! Post op & more
Review: Smudge is at times what some may call surly. At a year old and can be a love bug or menace. Post neuter the vet suggested one of these suits. We didn’t know if the surgery would include abdominal exploration as he had an undescended testes but fortunately he only needed one incision. I also bought a cheap inflatable collar after having a really good experience with a previous dog using one. Part of the reason I decided upon this version is because I read it was breathable. My dog seems to always run hot and that makes him uncomfortable, so it was really important for me to have some thing that would be lightweight. The package arrived the day after surgery, long enough for me to remember why we hate cones (even the new less painful flexible ones).I was disappointed to see the package wasn’t sealed, it was likely a return for size, but it did not appear used and out of desperation I kept it & glad I did.The size chart was accurate (he’s a medium long), and the suit is very stretchy. It is quite snug on him but has give which is good because otherwise I’d never get the second paw through (takes some contortion on both our parts). However from there it’s a piece of cake and slips easily over his tail and fastens securely as designed. I describe the support as being firm but forgiving and there are no gaps in the fabric but he is able to move freely (he is still able to jump and leap which is why we have to use 2 kinds of sedation). He can urinate with the suit on but I usually roll it up a bit as his stream sometimes hits his belly and in case he needs to defecate (we’ll talk more about that in a minute). While he actually appears EAGER for me put it on him, my son tried to adjust it once and he growled at him so I do think major trust is involved on both parts. I had a previous dog that was HIGHLY reactive, and there’s no way he would have tolerated this being put on him, even by me. The Velcro alone would have sent him over the edge. But Smudge isn’t nearly that sensitive so we’re good! The suit doesn’t prevent him from licking the outside so I paired it with the inflatable collar when I couldn’t keep a close eye on him or didn’t feel like stopping him for the billionth time as the incision needs to stay dry. Even though I had his normal collar through the loops of the inflatable, by day four he figured out how to wedge the inflatable collar against some thing and pop his head out so I was glad for the back up of the suit.I can also confirm it’s washable as the 2nd night post op high on meds despite being fully house trained I found him crouched by the back door pooping in his suit (forgive my indelicacy). Fortunately it was firm and I was able to immediately wash it and hang it to dry for wear the next day & just used the inflatable collar that night (always have a backup!).He likes it so much I’m even considering trying to use it as a calming tool (can’t hurt) in the future. When I put it on him he prances around and given the color and his attitude the entire family has been referring to it as his “super suit.” So much better than the “cone of shame” he endured the first night which had him scared, uncomfortable, and frustrated. With that being said, because it doesn’t restrict us movement, we definitely have to rely on meds and the inflatable collar to slow him down. That little bit of doubt as to whether or not he can fit somewhere or jump up on some thing was actually beneficial during this time given his extra bouncy nature. If you have a calm dog, this might not matter. One final tip is if your dog’s fur is prone to matting, I would highly recommend extra detangler and brushing out his coat while using. Not terrible, but I definitely would have issues if I didn’t do it every couple of days even with his fur being pretty short. In summary: highly recommend, pair with a second barrier for licking, use detangler, and have patience. Happy healing!

Title: Long-size works great for dachshund
Review: Last year, I tried the "small-long" size for my (now 15 lb) dachshund when he was neutered and it was waaaay too small and tight on his incision. But after he went through surgery to remove an acorn this year, I decided to try the medium-long and it is perfect! It's little loose on the neck, but nice and long and it doesn't press on his belly incision. Dachshunds are an odd shape, so nothing seems to fit perfectly, but this comes close. Highly recommended!

Title: Brilliant for post surgery
Review: We ordered this for our 80lb Lab after he was neutered. This enabled him to be without the traditional “cone” whole he recovered. It worked perfectly. It covered his incision and prevented him from licking the site. When he needed to go out it was easy to undo the flap. We bought 2. He used it for an entire week without any problems, slept in it and everything. It is very soft and stretchy but yet kept him covered while he moved about. Easy to get on and off. He’s quite playful (he’s only 9 months old) and was not able to get out of this. A must have post surgery. Lightweight. Washed very well.

Title: Mature Aussie Care Approved
Review: Highly recommended! This is a well-designed and reasonably priced product. We used our SurgiSnuggli for our 6 year old Aussie. This was a vastly superior day two replacement of his post-surgery cone. It was easy to put on, fit snugly, protected the incision site, allowed him to pee while still on, and the rear panel was easy to remove and replace so he could do his business outside. He had no issues wearing it, in fact, he did "crazy dogs" when we first put it on, something he had not done since he was a puppy. We used it until his fussing over the wound area stopped, roughly a week and a half following surgery. It did get damp from licking and we washed and dried it several times. I recommend getting it prior to your dog's surgery and having it ready when he comes home. It is so much better than a cone.

Review: Worked very well for my Irish Wolfhound for her recovery from surgery. Fit her very well, the velcro was great and it covered all of my Wolfie. I would use the velcro to secure the back end part when she went outside. No issues or complaints from her when she was wearing it.

Review: Bought this for my Coton de Tulear’s post-spaying healing use. The suit allows my dog to be as normal as possible without having to deal with the cone. I keep the back up so that she can do her business. With the suit on, she doesn’t even try to lick her incision. She did when we took it off once to let her relax from the suit for a while. At first we thought the suit is not big enough for her. But it is really stretchy and not as difficult to put on as we initially thought. SL is the perfect size for her (following the size chart guidelines). Out of all the purchases I have made over the past 6 months since we welcomed the puppy home, this is the best purchase I have ever made. What a relief knowing that her incision is well protected! She moves freely in the suit and the pink suit looks cute on her too!

A recommander!

Review: Great but your dog may feel invincible so watch closely and use collar as well to calm your dog down.
