Title: Order the size you normally would - great customer service!
Review: This vest looks like it should work really well because the cable and mechanism seems very sturdy. It's a very interesting concept, and it takes a good bit of pressure to pull out. You won't trigger it if you forget you're connected when you get off your bike.I thought this might be sized way too small like a lot of Chinese apparel, but it is not. It is true to size, because I initially ordered a 3XL thinking I would need extra size to fit over my jacket (I'm 6'-6" 230 and wear a 46XL jacket and I have a 38" waist). The 3XL swallowed me whole and was super big!Their customer service was great - I paid around $15 to ship the 3XL to a US address and upon receiving the tracking number they shipped an XL replacement. Takes a week and a half or so to receive the vest, but this XL is a great size for me.Some complain about the weak zipper, but don't yank it. Take it easy with it and it should be fine. The vest material seems very sturdy, and so does the plastic of the airbag inside.I hope I never have to employ it, but I think it's an excellent value, and I'm as thrifty as they come. Seller's response is prompt (about a half day or less, depending on the time), and I will have this vest on every time I ride.

Title: Quality vest, untested but appears to have what it takes to help protect rider
Review: I wasnât expecting too much at this price, but Iâm pretty impressed with the quality of this vest. The exterior cordura is thick and durable, the firing mechanism is beefy and appears to be solid.Lots of whining online about this not shipping with a gas cylinder, but I picked up what was needed at West Marine. Got the correct size and attachment style for ~$35.Interior inflatable bladder seems thick and is completely covered by the cordura exterior. Only suspect feature is that the zippers are very small and you need to be careful with them or I bet they wonât last. On the plus side, the zippers are only needed to replace the gas cylinder or to inspect the bladder, so they shouldnât get much use.The back pad in the vest is frankly lame and is the same closed cell foam used inside many entry level motorcycle jackets and for cheap camping pads. Strangely, itâs housed in a mesh pocket, but the pad itself has no ventilation, so itâs not going to flow any air. I tossed mine and has a quality CE approved pad in my jacket instead.Iâm 5-8 and 165lbs and the large is perfect for me worn over a leather jacket.Fingers crossed I never get to test this, but I feel pretty confident that it will provide some additional protection in some crash situations.

Title: Not to shabby
Review: So first off my vest arrived about a week early. So thatâs a plus. I have a four star only because I havenât used it lol. And in all honesty hope I never have to but as far as fitting Iâm 5/10 about 235 I bout the 2x. I feel itâs a little and I mean just a little on the loose side but I feel with my regular riding gear on it will be awesome. It felt decent on me the material felt good well built. Of course not sure totally because I havenât spent the 700 plus dollars on a name brand one but for under 200 I feel it is well put together, and am very pleased with it. So for extra protection I would recommend. I also recommend buying a few of the co2 canisters because that was one issue. It didnât come with one. The zippers on the vest are definitely little cheaper for sure. Other than that only thing is not sure where to mount the harness to bike. Iâll figure that out once I have some time but over all Iâd say get one.

Title: Extremely Poor Quality Zipper
Review: The airbag vestâs zipper wouldnât zip after the third use, rendering it useless. If the airbag deployed with a poor-quality zipper, it wouldâve broken, defeating its purpose. Additionally, the air canister isnât included, which is extra.

Title: Bulky and restrictive
Review: Despite the fact that it is a bit heavy and restrictive, I do not want to test it's effectiveness... but if it happens, I'll be glad I had it on.

Title: This airbag works - SLO MO video of it inflating!
Review: I bought this motorcycle airbag vest because it was inexpensive, I needed something until I can afford an Alpinestars system. The correct CO2 cartridge is 33gm and they sell them on Amazon, look for Mustang Survival 33 Gram CO2 Cylinder-Inflatable Rearm Kit (and at Cabela's etc)https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000NV7MAC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1I got the XL I'm 6ft 200lbs, notice the clips are at their shortest setting, it was the perfect fit for me, you want it to be very tight when it inflates, so make sure you get one big enough to go over your riding gear but not too big.The quality of the bladder and the vest material is what you expect for not much money, the bladder itself would be punctured easily, the vest material protecting the bladder is like a cordura with a plastic inner coating, I think it would work well enough for an impact but if it's a long slide on asphalt or a sharp object you hit you better be wearing armor. The back protector it comes with in my opinion is not going to do much, get a quality hard back protector that is CE2 rated at least.I tested it make sure it doesn't burst/fail. It stays inflated for as long as you make good the seal of the threads on the cartridge, I used plumbers PTFE tape so it stayed inflated for 15 minutes until I removed the CO2 canister.I would recommend that you open all the bladder zippers and take note of the bladder folds to get around corners because after it fires you will need to refold it. Make sure all the zippers are fully up before each ride, if one is partially open then the bladder may bulge out and burst if it fires.Rearming is simple, unscrew the firing pin nut on the bottom (under a black tube end-cap that you slide off) pull out the spring, push down the firing pin until the trigger ball hole appears, put the trigger ball back in, slide in the spring in the bottom and screw back in the spring tension nut while pushing in the trigger ball. When I get the Alpinestars I'll let passengers use this one.
Customers say
Customers appreciate the personal flotation device for its good build quality, value for money, comfort, and functionality. They find it well-made with substantial bladders and zipper access. Many of them say it works effectively and efficiently at a great price. The fit is also appreciated, with some finding it fits perfectly over riding jackets. While many customers like the inflated capacity and motorcycle safety features, some are unhappy with the shipping condition.
