Title: Great ammo book
Review: I bought this book for my dad last week and he absolutely loves it. I had been trying to find this particular book for him for a price that he wanted but couldn't find it. So he waited a little while and really wanted but couldn't find it period. So I looked on Amazon and found a someone who was selling it. This book is rare and out of print. My dad says the book is a great resource for cartridge and gun ammo information. This is a must have for any gun or rifle enthusiast like my dad and it's definitely worth finding and purchasing.

Title: An Informative Delight—Better Than Hoped For!
Review: I absolutely love this book! This was EXACTLY what I was looking for: a book that explains all about cartridges, their history, ballistics, etc. I got even more than I hoped for! Not is this hefty tome loaded with great, easily digested info—it also has plenty of intelligent humor dispersed throughout. Thank you so much for this informative delight!

Title: Great source of information
Review: This book is phenomenal... a must have for any firearm enthusiast. The first 365 of 1008 pages cover just about every aspect of general cartridge knowledge. The rest of the book is dedicated to specific cartridges.

Title: Fantastic value
Review: It's been years since my last purchase of a cartridge book, which was Barnes' Cartridges of the World. I tell you what, this one runs circles around my prior book as far the wealth and depth of information goes. And I suspect that the latest Barnes book still falls short of what this one offers, even though it costs more. And for fans of history, this one is the ONLY one to purchase; Bussard goes into delightful historic detail about SO many facets of cartridges and related items. Buy this and your TV will get some rest since you will be thumbing through it rather than staying glued to the screen.

Title: great but...
Review: Its a good read with lots of information on bullet types, ballistics knowledge etc. but missing a lot of cartridges. Although most people don't mind it , if you put the term "encyclopedia" on a book then you need to cover as many of cartridges as you can find. Other than that , nice book to have

Title: Put it on the coffee table if that is where your important books reside.
Review: Exactly what I needed.I am helping a friend sell guns, some of which are over 100 years old. Some are still made others are not. Some can easily be made from the cases of close calibers with some simple and some not so simple means.I have at least three old guns and one AR barrel I need to cast to be sure about what I'm doing, load wise.I can understand how some might think this a coffee table book, well it is if your reading material sits there. This book will help you on the road to knowing more about your hobby--firearms. Use it to make better reloads, to cast better bullets, choose better, more accurate components, to know when a barrel is "shot out" and needs replacing.Like it or not, this hobby is deep in the world of physics and this book will help you to know what you need to know to shoot safer a n more accurately.

Fundierte Englisch-Kenntnisse unabdingbar.
