Title: Helpful for this first timer
Review: I like that the author was speaking to me like he was sitting across from the table from me. It felt authentic and genuine. He provides basic information about cruising to Alaska. The bulk of the book is spent describing the different ports and excursions available. I found a few helpful hints (the pros and cons of buying excursions tickets earlier, on the ship, or at port was particularly helpful). He has handy maps of each Alaska port, though they are very small and a little hard to read. I wish there were more color photos, but appreciated the information provided. A good, quick read for a first time cruiser like myself.

Title: Very basic but helpful
Review: This books is not flashy, has only b&w photos and a few maps. However, itâs easy to read and gives a first time cruiser the info needed to plan a successful cruise.

Title: Booked Alaska Cruise with group of family & friends, many 1st timers, this is a good guide for them
Review: We booked an Alaska cruise with several family members who are 1st time cruisers, and we want them to get the most out of it. I am reviewing this book--love it for our ports of call for what we want to focus on for on and off ship to help them get the most out of it. The book is also being shared with them so they can review parts of their interests and see what else they need. We like the book. It's useful and easy to use.
