Title: can put out high volume sound that is accurate
Review: Small bookshelf speakers with lots of power and good overall sound. Especially mids and highs. Add a 10 or 12 inch sub and you get great sound. Using an Elac 12 in sub and an old vintage Kenwwod receiver rated at 80 watts per channel into 8 ohms. Added a bluetooth receiver and DAC for the cd player. Nice!

Title: Budget speakers ideal for vocal. High efficiency makes it easy pairing for most amplifiers.
Review: A nice pair of speakers at budget price. First impression is widely open sound stage just after unboxing. Ten hours in, the crossover was upgraded with Jentzen inductors, GAD capacitors and Jentzen MOX foil based audio resistors. Gotham 50025 speaker cables were used for all internal wiring. This demo was conducted after 50 hours run in. Much improved 3D sound stage. Vocal reproduction is outstanding. Cabinet vanishes, although it's visually existing, while you resonate with every word coming out from your favorite singer. It's high efficiency, clarity, tonality makes it ideal paring with low power tube amplifiers.

Title: My comments were removed!
Review: I had posted in the past under " questions " that my particular speaker s shipped by world wide stereo were defective ( one speaker - bad tweeter) and ... The post seems to have disappeared? I gutted out the tweeter s and cross over s then shielded the hook-up for use as full range surround sound speakers all on my own and enjoy them fully. I didn't consider contacting the seller for a refund - however - removing my post is particularly aggressive and ... unless someone can show me where my original question post landed ... I am thinking it was subversive in it's removal Perhaps a refund is in order ! Something smells bad here. I do not recommend the seller or the speaker for the price.

Title: Best bookshelf speakers I've ever owned.
Review: Great sound for such a small speaker - Very well made and I like the magnetic speaker covers as well. I placed these on wall mount brackets, one each side of the tv and got rid of the sound bar. These are so much better than the sound bar. They are driven by a Yamaha R-N602 receiver and paired with the KLH Floor Standing 3way speakers and when watching a movie.

Title: Great speaker but please read
Review: All of the other reviews seem to be spot on. These are GREAT speakers!! This is not a very forgiving speaker though. If the recording is bad or you are driving them with the wrong amp you will be able to tell. They will lack some charm. A good recording and the right amp and it will certainly make these things sing! They are one of my favorite budget bookshelves but they can get a bad reputation over the first generation Albany. I have learned to know when to use them. I am a bit of a bookshelf nut and have multiple pair. This will be a pair I will forever keep but I also realize in some aspects they are limited. Most bookshelf speakers are if you are being picky. I really like using them at lower volumes. They seem to handle it better than some of the other speakers I have. I also love playing them loud with quieter more musical songs. Live recordings can sound amazing on these. They really bring out the vocals and instruments like no other! They will certainly ROCK when you need them though.
