Title: A beautiful treasure!
Review: By far- one of the prettiest books on the saints I have purchased so far! Makes a beautiful gift! The illustrations (vintage holy cards) are stunning, nostalgic and comforting. Love the binding and use of gold gilding. Gorgeous.

Title: Lovely
Review: This is a beautiful elegant book with gilded golden edge pages complete with a classy ribbon to mark the pages. The book has beautiful art of the Saint from vintage prayer cards. I like the book because itâs condensed short 1 page story of the saints life.

Title: Beautiful book, though saint "worship" is misleading...
Review: What a beautiful book! I bought it as a gift for a friend and couldn't resist getting one for myself as well. The cover design is gorgeous (and I'm not just saying that because it features my patron saint, though I commend their taste). 😉 The size and padded cover make it feel good in your hands as well. Though relatively small, it still covers about 90 saints, both famous and many lesser known ones. What I love best are all the vintage pictures from old holy cards (most of which apparently came from someone's private collection in Belgium). With the limited selection of holy cards available these days it's very refreshing to see so many "new" pictures. My only critique is that in the descriptions of the various saints, the authors mention the "worship" of the saints (e.g. "Although her worship is fairly widespread in France, very little is known about Saint Petronilla" or "Worship of Lucy traditionally involves light", etc). As a Catholic, I find this term completely inaccurate and misleading. Saints are not worshipped - we honor them and ask them to pray for us, but only God is worshipped. Still, overall I am very happy with my purchase and look forward to reading and treasuring it for years to come.

Title: Nice book with classic holy card illustrations
Review: For the most part well written but I did find just a few statements that could be interpreted as anti-Semitic.

Title: Lovely!
Review: Great buy! Ignore the 'worship' part and enjoy the rest! Bought for my granddaughter for Christmas. What a sweet book! Love the look and feel of it and the endearing pictures. Just lovely. She is 13 and has a holy heart and loves this. She started reading stories right away. Thank you. Wish there were more holy books like this. Miss our missal that we carried to Mass. Sigh.

Title: Not enough Info on Saints
Review: The idea of short stories of the Saints brought me to purchase this book (Kindle Edition). Well, the stories are very short, and just seem incomplete for me. I felt that most of the stories could have been written in a bullet statement format, not narrative. The narratives on most of the saints did not flow well. Each Saint is listed as a type of Patron Saint, but the reasons a saint is chosen is lacking in many stories. I gave the book 3 stars, but I would not recommend it. There has to be a better book on saints out there. For me "little" was too little.

Review: A lovely collection of short biographies of male and female saints. Each saint has a full page reproduction of a prayer card and a page of information. Pocket sized book, padded cover, gold edged pages and a ribbon marker. It would make a lovely gift.

Review: Absolutely beautiful little book very well made and presented, the illustration is absolutely exquisite and the short biography of each saint is perfect for anyone wanting to learn a little bit more about the holy people we revere as saints, I would recommend for anyone wanting to explore their faith a little more. I am not Catholic but I am religious and I do respect and revere the saints as people of god. Well worth owning, I particularly like the cushioning on the cover though the picture adorning my cover is slightly scratched in transport but I do not mind this and will likely adore this book for years to come. I will be buying some of the other titles that go along side this series of works, thank you for your help in my spiritual journey, god bless

Customers say
Customers find the book has beautiful art and illustrations that look like antique prayer cards. They find it easy to read, quick, and perfect for someone not able to read too much. The spiritual content is inspiring and a magical reminder that you are not alone. The gold gilding on the edges and padded cover make it a keepsake. However, some customers feel the information on saints is lacking and the stories get less detailed toward the end.
