It's a family affair...

The story of the CARBON FIBER MAHL STICK was born 5 years ago. As a professional artist I had been using a heavy aluminium and wood mahl stick for upto 8 hours a day all my working life. Over some 25 years I found both the aluminium and wooden mahl sticks not only heavy, but also cumbersome and poorly made too. Sadly I developed tendonitis in my lower arm due to repeated use of these type of mahl sticks. We set out to design the ultimate mahl stick which would be both super light but also super tough too. The CARBON FIBER MAHL STICK was created, 3 times lighter than most aluminium mahl sticks and made to last and last.

All our mahl sticks are made in England by our family run team.

We are really proud that this innovative 21st century redesign of an essential artists tool will be used to help other artists create their own masterpieces in both comfort, style and safety.

Ultra-light weight and strong.

Our connectors are CNC machined from aluminium to provide a precision joint. The threads are a full 1'' long which helps to prevent screw loosening and makes for a super strong joint. Thats twice the length of most aluminium mahl sticks.

Review: I have always found mahls too cumbersome and heavy. This one is sleek, sturdy and lightweight! Highly recommend!! I love that it can be easily packed away in two pieces but I use it so often that it won’t leave my easel.

Review: Great mahl stick! Came nicely packaged in a sturdy cardboard tube, the pieces screws together nicely and don't wobble, and makes it super easy to fill in fine details when painting. It's very light -- the first segment with the head is 36g and both segments together are 68g. Highly recommend!

Review: Didn't know what a Mahl stick was- but it is a tool used for artistic painting, a way to give the arm a resting place to avoid smudging or smearing while painting. Especially useful for those left-handed painters. Excellent quality and looks like it will stand the test of time.

Title: Lightweight, but sturdy and well-made
Review: This is an amazing find! I wanted a mahl stick that I could easily take to my painting classes, and this one checks all the boxes. It easily breaks down to fit in my bag, it's very sturdy to use, and it is extraordinarily lightweight. My art instructor was skeptical when he saw me pull it out the first time because his experience with 2 piece mahl sticks is that they are heavy and tiresome to use for very long. Then he looked closer at this and changed his tune. I bought a second one for him as a gift, and he was over the moon. He's been recommending it to all his classes, and I know that at least 5 others have been purchased because of his rave recommendations.

Title: GREAT PRODUCT & EXPERIENCE

Review: I ordered this as it looked really good and I wasn’t disappointed. Its really lightweight whilst looking indestructible, you could use it all day and it wouldn’t make your arm ache. The wipe clean surface will be handy and the attention to detail is second to none. Cheaper mahl sticks are available but this one looks like it will last a lifetime and wont get tatty and dirty like a wooden version. 100% recommended.

Review: After using the stick for 3 months, I noticed that it became shaky and didn't hold together well. I used epoxy resin to permanently glue the stick but can't use it on smaller paintings now.

Review: A well made 2 piece, 33" , mahl stick. Lightweight but firm to rest on while working. I'm used to using an old school dowel mahl stick, but decided to treat myself to this for my birthday.I'm a coach painter/signwriter by trade, (long retired now), and want to pass on those skills to my grandchildren and think this is perfect for them and my aging bones!I think it's quality in design and build and good value for money. It comes in a sturdy box for storage, with the pieces hand wrapped in red paper making it very personal as a gift for artists and signwriters.
