Title: Sturdy!
Review: I really like how roomy and easy to use this palette is - it's exactly what I wanted. I don't travel with it at all, because I have a small setup for that, but this is great for keeping in my work area to open up and use when I have the odd moment to paint. The latch is wide and closes with a nice heavy, audible snap, and the wells are deep and wide enough that they don't get messy when you dip your brush in to work. I like that it's plastic, but doesn't feel flimsy AT ALL.There are a couple of things to mention that don't bother me, but may irritate others. The extra tray does fall out every time I close the lid. It lands perfectly on top of the paint wells, so there's no mess, but again, that might be a consideration for some people. I let any paint dry before I close up the case, but I guess if you try to close it up with wet paint you'll have issues. Also, it does discolor if you like to leave your paints in the tray like I do. A decent bit of elbow grease and a magic eraser does the trick to get it perfectly clean again.All in all, since I just needed a big basic palette for my work area and I'm not easily perturbed by small imperfections, it's perfect.

Title: Great airtight palette
Review: I bought this to house my new Mission watercolors. The pans are deep and have a nice slop to help keep colors pure. It seals tight so the paint doesn’t dry out. Be sure to carry it flat so the colors can’t mingle. The lid has a removable white mixing surface.This is a great overall design and a well made palette.

Title: I love this palette
Review: I love this watercolor palette by Mijello. The 33 wells are good-sized and hold an entire 5ml tube of paint with a bit of room to spare - perfect for me since I use bigger brushes for the most part and don't want to be hindered by a small well. I also love how much mixing space you have with this palette. On the inside lid part, you can remove the mixing tray and use the lid itself as another mixing area if you wish. This palette is very portable and travels easily with me. 33 wells is the perfect amount for me to have all my favorite colors in one spot. The lid closes nicely and snaps in place. It is not air-tight in that if your paints are watery they could spill out, but I'm sure most of us wait until our paints are dry or at least set up before closing our palettes anyway, so no issues there, at least for me. I love this purchase and would highly recommend this palette!

Review: This Martin Mijello 33-well palette is terrific: it has plenty of palette mixing area thanks to the one removable tray and the one stationary tray inside the lid. Both are easy to clean in the studio by wiping with damp paper towels. The seal inside the lid is leakproof, meaning the paints will not leak out of the closed palette, but you still need to remember to carry the closed palette in a flat, upright position while any of the paints are still wet, because wet paint can run between the wells!

Title: Great Palette for home and away
Review: The Martin Mijello palette is a heavy duty work horse able to withstand the harsh (aka teenage) treatment of being flung around in an unpadded backpack. It is well suited to both plein air & studio sessions. Though I won't say it's completely airtight, I will say the lid snaps tightly closed and locks into place helping the paint stay moister longer than most lidded palettes. Paint does not leak to the outside of the palette, however if the wells have too much liquid in them then they do leak from well to well. There is long trough at the high end of the wells between each row to help catch the liquid as you pull the brush out of the well. There are 33 bright white slanted wells, each measuring 1" x 1 1/2" (2.54 x 3.81cm). It comes with a mixing tray made of a slightly less bright not as sturdy plastic. This tray is NOT attached to the palette and is meant to be removed to make mixing more convenient. Therefore, it just sits inside the palette and may slide out when the lid is opened. The plastic of both the tray and the wells stain easily. At the moment I am using Mission Gold Water Color Set, 34 Colors which are probably more intensely colored than any other watercolor on the market and could have something to do with the amount of staining.(BTW this palette is perfect for this set and the paint is beautiful) Personally I do not use the tray for mixing because I've tried everything to get a smooth puddle going, but to no avail because of the type of plastic it is. (Thus the reason for the loss of 1 star) After buying at least a dozen palettes I am glad I finally found this one. I'd recommend it to anyone.

Title: I like the 33 paint wells. The removable mixing tray is lightweight and moves.
Review: The 33 mixing wells is nice. When I remove the mixing tray and place it on a hard surface it easily moves around when mixing paints in it. That is annoying. I therefore use a ceramic palette for my mixing purposes. The other reason I use a ceramic palette is because it makes nice puddles when mixing watercolor paints. My experience has been that the plastic trays cause the paint to bead and rather than puddle. The smaller size of the Mijello palette is convenient. I would say that the paint wells are a slight bit larger than full size pans which causes no problems when dabbing with larger brushes.

Review: Palette beaucoup plus grande que ce que j'imaginais (mais c'est de ma faute, je n'ai pas regardé les dimensions) ; finalement c'est très pratique pour mélanger (si vous avez suffisamment d'espace sur votre bureau bien sûr).Le plastique est de qualité. Comparée aux boîtes métalliques, cette palette-ci (grâce à son joint) est plutôt hermétique ! Toutefois, n'espérez pas y conserver de l'acrylique ou même de la gouache (surtout si vous aimez cette dernière onctueuse et non dure comme un roc).Bref, une palette idéal si l'on veut que l'aquarelle en tube conserve pendant plusieurs jours une certaine fraicheur ou si l'on n'a pas peur de l'y laisser sécher 😉

E comodo perché ti tiene i colori tutti separati e poi ho due piani grandi dove poter sfumare e mescolare! Si riescono a fare anche più tavole senza continuare ad andare a pulire ilPiattino! Che sia ermetico non lo so maNon voglio sfidare la sorte.. tanto non dipingo acquerello en plain air!
