Title: Mixes up the different types of math questions
Review: This book has been great for our third grader. She had been demonstrating a lack of confidence in math (despite being very skilled at it ) so we wanted a book that would keep her *just* ahead of her class to keep her confidence up. I bought a number of books and this was the only one that 1) mixed up the types of math questions so I felt like she was both learning new content and practicing the skills she'd already learned (many books have the content in separate sections), and 2) that she "liked" (in quotes because she doesn't "like" math, she says, sigh!) enough to be willing to sit and do every day.We elected to do "a page of math" each day. So instead of doing one page over four days as noted in the book, we'd do one full page each day. We'd generally do probably 3-4 pages on weekdays and one on weekends. This meant that she got through the book before the end of third grade. We bought this book in September and it is now March and she is almost halfway through the next (fourth grade) book! Her confidence is way up now and while she still would prefer to do anything other than math practice, I think she's actually starting to find it fun to learn new concepts when they are introduced. Really glad to have found this series and will definitely keep using it!

Title: Good Common Core practice.
Review: This book has a nice variety of Common Core style problems. The book mixes up the problems rather than just going through pages of one problem type then pages of the next problem type (ex. division then fractions etc). It is easy for my child to practice lots at once without risk of forgetting because itâs been pages since the last subject. This book has been helpful to reinforce math learned during the remote learning scramble caused by the Covid 19 emergency shut down.

Title: ... in 2nd grade and can do this book just fine. We give him to days per day and ...
Review: My son is in 2nd grade and can do this book just fine. We give him to days per day and he enjoys it. It's straight forward math, no guidance to the math, mostly drills, but there is good pacing and lots of variation between boxes so kids don't get bored. I also like that they repeat ideas for additional practice across the days. Again, no repeat math problems but lots of repeat concepts for additional drilled practice. I really love this book . I have 2 kids. My daughter is in 4th grade and doing the 4th grade level math, 5th grade level language arts. My son is in 2nd grade doing 3rd grade math and 2nd grade language arts. I have them do two days worth of pages per day and this is a good pace for them. They will be done with the book before the end of the year and I will be moving them to the next level. All this is in addition to what they do in school. This is to give you a point of reference on the degree of difficulty, as I see it is mentioned in other posts. I hope this helps! 🙂

Title: Nice
Review: Homeschooled this year because we moved states. Used these books for review this spring to make sure there weren't any glaring holes in my kids' education (I'm older than today's common core standards). These books cover what we went over this year. They are definitely a "work on a separate piece of paper" sort of workbook, on account of there not being a ton of extra space per page to "show one's work", but that's not a big deal. It's definitely not good for honing one's skills, as there are only a few questions per concept, but fine as an assessment tool.

Title: Good common core workbook.
Review: I feel this is a really good math workbook comparable to what my daughter was doing in school. I was worried that with the school shut downs she would fall even farther behind in math so I bought this workbook. She likes that it is a variety of math skills, not just 30 division problems on a page. It has a little of everything and is challenging to her but not so hard she gives up. It has a lot if pages as well. Some other workbooks we bought were pretty skimpy. Good value for money.
