Warranty & Support
With its sleek good looks and the elegant simplicity of its construction, the CX12 Black turned a lot of heads when it was introduced in 1992. It won the German Industry Design Award shortly afterwards, which was definitely a first for a harmonica instrument in modern times. Its powerful, distinctive sound and fast, easy response make it ideal for the ambitious amateur or contemporary professional player looking for a modern, easy to service chromatic harmonica in styles such as rock, pop and jazz.
Comb and reed plate assembly simply slots into housing, permitting tool-less disassembly and reassembly
The plastic cover / mouthpiece unit is extremely airtight for a unique sound and fast response
Reliable performance under all climate conditions thanks to resilient plastic comb
Tonal range: 3 octaves

Title: Amazing Harmonica, unlike any other I own....and it does not replace my existing chromatic
Review: So I get the Harmonica in the mail, and it is in this huge box for a harmonica. I open the box and, well, it contains a huge harmonica.I have another Hohner key of C Chromatic. This one goes an octave below that one. That one does not play well in its bottom octave and this one plays well in all three octaves. My wife's comments were, "It sounds like a pipe organ", and I had come to the same conclusion...the timbre of the sound sounds unlike any other harmonica I have. The part that goes into your mouth is plastic. You can easily remove the button slide, pop the spring plate off of the back, remove the core which has the reeds and windsavers and all that attached to it, and get the plastic case free - and then wash it or whatever you want to do to clean it. But the plastic case does not slide easily in your mouth like the chromed metal case does. I find that I can hit the notes I want to but I feel like I'm dragging the harmonica rather than sliding it.Once the case has dried, you can assemble it again, in less time it takes to write about how to do it. Just put the core back into the plastic case, stick the spring plate in one side, and then hook it into the other side. Last step is to slide the pushbutton back in with the plate attached. So, the whole harmonica is an octave below other Key of C Hohner chromatics, and it plays better and sounds much fuller. I would suggest it for, well, devotional music. Maybe some western. Definitely be something I carry with me for treatments, but it won't replace anything I own. I had hoped it would replace my other chromatic - but I can't play Fiddler on the Roof because I can't slide it fast enough.

Title: Horrible Tape on Case
Review: First of all, let me start by saying that I LOVE the harmonica! The tenor tuning is warm and amazing, and the instrument is very lightweight and air tight. The ease of disassembly makes it very easy to clean and adjust. Since I only received it this afternoon, I'll reserve the right to come back and expand upon my review. The instrument itself is WELL worth the money, and I feel I'll enjoy it for many years. So ... why four stars instead of five? Why? Oh, WHY? Why would anyone put a nice instrument in a so-so case, and then, to ensure the case doesn't open during shipment, put some type of tape over the closure of the latch that was nearly IMPOSSIBLE to remove??!! It took me almost as long to clean the case ... using a big portion of a can of OOPS... as it did to have it shipped! Well, a long time anyway. The case arrived bashed on one end, and I'm not sure I'll find something better to store the harp in, anyway. For a nice instrument, I think the included case is shoddy. I realize the cover on the harmonica is plastic, but I would have expected a soft, lint-free cloth to be included. Nope. And ... no instructions for taking the instrument apart. It's simple to do, but I'd have thought a set of instructions would have been in the package. Nope! Had to search out a "YouTube" to see how it's done. Not a huge problem, but those are the reasons I downgraded this purchase to four stars.

Title: Bad packaging ruined the case
Review: Product is good but packaging was terrible. They used packaging tape on the case to keep it closed which doesn't come off easily and shreds. So now I have a ruined case that was intended to house the harmonica.
