Title: Buy it!
Review: This is, by far, the best all inclusive radar I have ever had! Connected with your phone, it's unstoppable! The radar: It works great. The best performance depends all about placement. Since it's so compact, I place it above my rear-view mirror, making sure that it's below that blue tint/shade at the top. Driving in the mountainous upstate NY, it warned me of K-band and even one cop on a laser just in time, the moment the top of my car peeks over the hills. On the straight, flat NYS Thruway, it picks up signals at great distances. I've been saved from 4-5 encounters in 2 months.Paired with the iphone app and gps: Living in NYC and driving through Manhattan and Brooklyn, there are plenty of new red light cameras and speed cameras popping up these days. Not only does it have the AURA database, but there are so many user inputted cameras and speed traps that 98% of the time, I get a camera warnings. Also, areas that frequently have had confirmed signals with cops are labeled as low/med/high threat areas and you get a subtle warning to just be cautious on that particular stretch of road. The app itself: Needs a lot of tweaking. BUT, you don't really need it open at all. My routine: When turn on my car, my radar automatically connects via bluetooth and my phone gets a popup request to connect to my radar. The app automatically opens, then the compass and speed show up on the radar to confirm its connected, and then I just leave it in the background while I use my GPS app and Spotify. Connect to the app to get the benefits of camera warnings, threat warnings, and signals being picked up by others BUT dont keep the app open lol! It shows up on your radar screen anyway!False alarms: I drive in both city (Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens) and highway (Long Island, Upstate NY, NJ Turnpike, NYS Thruway to New England). I use CityMAX most of the time and then I switch to Highway mode when I'm on the open road. Most importantly, set up the INTELLIMUTE! You dont need any notifications if youre in slow traffic. The moment my car goes past 2500rpms, usually 35mph, thats when I let it activate. And CMAX mutes, but still shows, signals with a strength less than 3. This is the best and most effective combination for my use.Overall: High-quality, durable, effective. Worth the extra cash. Do it, and be smart with it.

Title: so far so good
Review: I've had this is my car for a few days now and I can't complain. I returned a lower g series that I ordered the week before, the detachable dongle on them seems like it would break right off. This one is small well made, the display is bright enough to see In direct sun with my sun roof open.Pros:App for android works well.Very visible in sun.Quite less annoying ding sounds and and voice alerts understandable.Seemingly good warnings(I'll re review after I've had it longer)Cons:Display only shows speed and compass stats while connected to phone. Alerts will show while not connected but it's idle display while not connected is only voltage of battery. It's not flat on the bottom, so dash mats don't hold as well. Not supper loud. I had some trouble hearing it with music on and windows cracked on freeway.Over all, I'm pleased with it and would recommend it as a nice mid grade unit.

Title: It's worth the Dinero Mang!
Review: So far I love this guy. Syncs up nice to my phone, but damn I do get a lot of false alerts. I'd blame this guy but honestly I just had a whistler that began crapping out on me after ten plus years of loyal, and cost effective, service and even that thing was starting to get a lot of detections when there wasn't anything around. Happens around specific geographical locations so I think it's more K and Ka band radars being employed by entities other than the police. Anyways, it works great and I couldn't be happier. I've only had it for a month and it's Fall so over the next year of Winter in Minnesota and being in a blazing hot car on my dash over the Summer I'll keep you posted if it craps out prematurely. Cheers!

Title: No customer service at cobra after the product breaks just over 12 months
Review: I thought this would be a great radar because of the ability to Bluetooth with my iPhone. The product was great until it broke exactly at 13 months and just out of warranty. Amazon will not assist with replacement. After multiple phone calls I gave up calling cobra you will just sit on hold for hours literally. I finally got somebody to answer one of my emails partially I am still hanging trying to figure out what to do and how to repair it horrible customer service from cobra and poor follow up with Amazon. Our family has three cobra radar detectors fortunately this is the only one that is broken and by far the most expensive! For $230 you would expect that somebody would either answer the phone or return your emails. I recommend buying another brand radar detector and using the Waze app instead.

Review: All it seems to do is pick up the K-BAND frequency quite often which is believed to be from automatic doors from stores opening and closing. I did this this out and sure enough it went off every time the automatic doors opened. Also I keep getting "TRAIN" when I am nowhere near any railroad tracks, not even within a mile of it.
