Title: True and unbiased review,
Review: I bought this manifold set to replace the old robyn air that got broken during a move.Iâm pretty happy with how this manifold works.I have noticed that the fittings do come loose on the manifold and the quick connectors, but I will have to give them the benefit of the doubt for being new.I had no problem with the quick connectors sealing it all went together very quick and easy and the quick connectors fit the line fittings like a champ no leaking from anywhere.Yes the case could be a little bit better where the hoses go but itâs not a problem or a deal breaker for me.I like the aluminum knobs on it, it looks and feels pretty sturdy and well made.Have used it to evacuate and recharge a few R134A automotive AC systems now it will hold a 30ilb vacuum at the manifold with the quick connectors closed and 28-29ilb on the vehicle with the quick connectors open and the system drown down.I evacuated the systems for 45mins each and let them sit for 1hr on a closed system to check for leaks then recharged the system and all was good and done!Yes I would have to recommend this manifold set to anyone interested in getting a reasonably priced manifold set,Itâs worth the money.Hope that this review helps you

Title: Refrigeration manifold set
Review: The gauges work as they should, the gauges them self are a little smaller then I prefer but the convince of everything in one hard carrying case makes it worth the purchase.

Title: Pretty good for the money - but questionable connectors
Review: Update: The connectors are garbage. I was able to sucessfully charge a '92 Corvette, and managed to get the gage set on to my 15 silverado to see how they fit because I was having trouble getting them to connect and disconnect. I got them on, but the low side was stuck on the truck. I fiddled with it for about 1/2 hour and it finally came loose. Skip ahead to today and I can't even get that stupid low side connector to connect to my 05 Camry. The high side did connect but the low side even feels wrong when you're starting it onto the stem, much less trying to force it on. I'm not aware of different sized couplers other than the high side being different than the low, but this low side connector seems a little too small in general. The gages work great. The couplers are absolute garbage, and I'm searching for new ones somewhere if I can find them.Original Post: First impression: I went out on a limb and bought this less expensive manifold gauge set. I'm pleased with it. The connectors are a little tricky, especially the high side. But they do connect and come off. You just have to work them a little bit. The valves all seem to be of decent quality as well as the gauges. It's nice having 4 hoses and valves although it's not really necessary. The yellow has a bleed off valve at the top - nice. The gauges read into the negative for measuring vacuum as well. Really handy for checking to ensure the vacuum is holding (Making sure there are no leaks before charging). I actually left all the valves open and there were no leaks, meaning all the connectors held vacuum too. So they seal nicely. It comes with all kinds of adapters and I was able to make all the connections I needed, including to the vacuum pump I purchased. It was especially nice not spending hundreds on a set like this.Update after about a month of use: I used this a handful of times while working on my '92 Corvette. Finally got the A/C system working and blowing ice cold air. However, unlike when I first started the project (Almost complete A/C system overhaul) the high side gauge didn't seem to be reading anymore. I figured maybe it could be the r134a retrofit adapter on the car, maybe the valve wasn't letting refrigerant through for the gauge to read. So I figured I'd test it on my 2015 Silverado. This truck Is practically new, and comes factory with R134a so it has correct and quality ports. I again had trouble connecting the connectors, especially the high side connector. It finally clicked in to place. The gauge worked correctly though. Then it was time to disconnect and I couldn't get the connector off. I fought with it for about 1/2 hour and got in a little bit of a panic because this truck is still under warranty and my daily driver. I can't have a connector stuck on there. Finally, with a pair of channel lock pliers it miraculously came loose with a bit of twisting, finagling, and forcing.I don't know where this gauge set is made as I can't find that info anywhere on this site or on the product itself. I'm leery of Chinese products these days. I can't really say the quality of this is that poor but the connectors really concern me. I would think a good quality set of connectors wouldn't have issues like this. I didn't bother contacting Orion Motor Tech about this because I'm not sure I want a replacement connector as I'm not really convinced the quality of the actual connectors is there and since they are screw on I might look for a quality pair of connectors to purchase elsewhere instead. I've used the plastic connectors on the cans before and never had issues like this. That's with cheap plastic connectors.Really the only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is because of the trouble I've had with the high side connector primarily, and the fact that it was stuck on my truck was quite concerning. If this set had better connectors, I would recommend this to anyone all day long. However, I do feel comfortable recommending it as a less expensive alternative to a professional set and a person could buy a set of higher quality connectors for it as I likely will.

Title: Can tapper useless
Review: As a retired ASE Master tech I can give an honest appraisal of the charging manifold. It is of similar quality to the equipment I used over 40 years purchased from major tool truck. However the refrigerant can tap is less than useless as it will not stay on the can or leaks if it does. I lost 3 cans of refrigerant trying to make it work and gave up trying for fear of losing more.

Title: Mehh. Sus reviews. This isn't it
Review: Worked ok for pumping lines down but I question how long the seals will last. Rubber bits coming off the seals after first use...The can adapter for adding refrigerant simply does not work propely, when screwed down all the way to the refrigerant can. The only way to get the refrigerant out of the can is to let it leak out of the connection. Basically you have to start unscrewing the refrigerant can from the adapter while the pin is depressed into the refrigerant can. If you're good you can get the perfect point where the refrigerant doesn't leak into the atmosphere and still comes out but it's a VERY narrow window. Tilting the refrigerant can from this point can cause a leak. Oddly, the pin doesn't have the be extended that far for this to work, which indicates that it's not sealing the pin to the can. I also tried two cans of r134a, same result. But if you screw the can all the way down, then depress the pin, NO refrigerant escapes the can. I mean NONE! Even after fully depressing the pin into the can, fully retracting the pin, then unscrewing the can, absolutely no pressure relief at all...make no sense at all. The little stand alone blue recharge hose works infinitely better but you can't vacuum the air from it...Of course it's too late for me to return it by the time I figured it out. Mostly used for diagnosis and pumping which it works ok for, gauge needle doesn't go all the way to -30in of mercury. I know on other gauges my vacuum will suck vacuum lines to -30in in well under 5 minutes. 45min later and this gauge reads just above -30. Based on the reviews and price I thought this was it but sadly, this is not it.
