Totally inert. New Nickel case with ABS plastic insert (Orange)makes the round highly visible.

Title: Functional - plastic gets chewed up but always works
Review: Work for function testing well. The plastic gets nicks and chips easily but it doesnât impact function.Itâs much lighter than some other dummy rounds. They work great for mixing in with ammo to get rid of flinching. Theyâre also cheap enough that if you lose some itâs no issue.

Title: Perfect fit for 1911 45ACP full size government and commander models, as they should.
Review: These rounds fit perfectly in both my government model 1911 and my commander model 45 ACP. The work exactly like a real round both in the magazine and in the firearm. They load like real rounds and eject like real rounds, perfect for practice drills.

Title: You get what you pay for.
Review: I have a Springfield 1911 and wanted to have a dummy round to get used to the actions of the gun. These rounds were a decent price. The only thing I do not like about them is that I have to pull and push the slide with a little more force than I like. If I dont push the slide forward with enough force the dummy rounds get jammed. Other than that they work fine. They are a little on the light side but work for what I entended. I do wish that I would have spent the extra couple of bucks to get the nicer ones. My brother in law has some from bâs dummies and they are more sturdy and dont jam with the regular action of the gun (not forcing the slide forward).

Review: I'm teaching my daughter how to shoot and as a beginner, she was nervous about handling live rounds. I bought these in different cal. so she could practice loading and unloading as well as dry firing until she felt more comfortable. These also allow me to practice my draw from my CC holster at home without worrying about an accidental discharge.By the way, her first day live firing at the range was a success!

Title: Excellent.
Review: One or two of these snapped out of the casing, had to shove it back in. One became unusable, but the rest work great. Probably my fault for dry-firing it too much.

Title: Work perfectly for drills.
Review: All of mine are the same size, a match for .45; no problems with failure to feed or eject at all. They work great for various drills; I would say they are well worth the cost.
