Title: Lots of fun..... great value!
Review: Been flying a basic one string parafoil kite for years and have really enjoyed the durability, simplicity, and convenience but was starting to want a next level kite. Decided to take a chance and buy the 170mm kite for a trip over to the Oregon coast. FYI, the Oregon coast has great kite conditions. I was a little worried that the new system might be difficult to learn and might waste time that I could use flying my regular parafoil. I was SO wrong. It's not difficult to be up and flying very quickly. Each day got a little better and by the 3rd day as long as the wind didn't die, I had no problems keeping the kite in the air as long as I wanted too. I want to add that this kite is a pretty good upper body workout when you really go for the big wind with it! I will pull you forward and give a good tug so be prepared! Anyway, I am very pleased with the purchase and I'm looking forward to my new era of kite flying!

Title: Awesome fun in the wind...
Review: It's been decades since I have flown a kite (single line delta). This kite (Synapse 140) promised to be an easy flyer according to It's manufacturer, Prism. There were plenty of videos online to express the same sentiment. First day of flight was at a smaller park in the middle of a local neighborhood. The winds were gusty and not sustained. The Kite would ascend and fly for a few seconds but in between gusts in would fold and decend like a feather. I was hooked. The next flying session (the next day) went about the same with similar wind conditions and local. A little discouraged (having watched the videos didn't help) after the 2nd attempt, I wanted to "fly" like I had seen others. I made my 3rd try at a local lake. Finally clean sustained wind coming across the vacant surface of the water provided the necessary elements to keep this kite aloft. Now I know I'm hooked on this stuff. This was a super-easy kite to fly in the correct environment. It's all "fabric" which means there are no hard spars, tubes, rods, fittings, et cetera. There is nothing to break. I crashed into the ground (both accidentally and to land) several times. The Kite is 100% still flight worthy. For a first kite this is an excellent quality. However be aware that to successfully keep this one in the air you'll need a pretty constant flow of air. Gusts of wind simply won't provide enough loft. That aspect can be discouraging for the novice. There are so many kites on the market though. There's pretty much a kite for any conditions that someone would be willing to tolerate for fun. Obviously there's times NOT to fly a kite. I suggest this kite for the experienced and for the "new" pilots too. Keep in mind, the aforementioned requirements and it should be a rewarding and enjoyable experience.

Title: a well made kite lots of fun and worth it
Review: I am an experienced kite flier and I mostly fly 3 to 5meter (9to 15feet) long quad line power kites. I carry this and one other prism parafoil kite (the 140 model) with me every where I go. If conditions don't allow me to power kite I can often still pullout my prism parafoil and have some fun. This kite is fun, maneuverable, easy to control, fun for beginner and experienced. For it being a 200 size it can have some strong pull, which I really like. I have many kites from different manufacturers, and I have to say Prism Kites are my favorites. The quality is noticeable right away, from the design, the material, and string used in the bridal and the control lines, carry bag, and the instructions. If you have never piloted a dual line kite, you really are missing out. If you are considering purchasing this Kite or any Prism kite. But you are debating between Prism Kites another manufacturers similar kite that sells for way less money. I'd say it's not worth it to try and save a few dollars here. I have bought several of the "costs less" kites. They end up sitting or being thrown away. This or any another Prism kites will not disappoint you. (USA purchased and reviewed)

Title: One control line on each kite was 6" longer than the other.
Review: I purchased two of these kites for my girls. While the kites seem very well built and durable, one control line on each of the kites were about 6" longer than the other, sending the kite into an immediate turn during takeoff. Once I was actually able to get the kite into the air, I had to keep my arms at different lengths, in order to maintain vertical flight. It made flying the kites impossible for my girls. The weird thing is that on one kite, the red control line was 6" too long but the blue line was too long on the other. Based on the directions, I adjusted the pigtail end of the long control line but because it needed 6" of adjustment, I had to burry the knot all the way down to the control handle on both kites. The directions say to expect a little line stretch, but 6" difference? Seems more like a quality control issue more than anything. I managed to get them pretty much even and the girls were able to enjoy flying them FINALLY. They seem very durable, surviving a few crashes each as the girls were learning how to fly. I personally own a Prism Tantrum 220 and that thing is flawless but too much for the wee ones. But I find myself enjoying the smaller kites more. They're very zippy in the air and so much fun to fly. Other than the uneven lines, I haven't had any issues with either kite. I would highly recommend these for beginners to parafoil kite flying. Very good and fun purchase. I own 6 acres on the water but just be warned....you need lots of space to fly multiple of these kites. Enjoy!

Title: Great kite right out of the package
Review: Excellent entry level kite. Out of the package flew excellent for me and my 9 year old grandson. I tried a similar designed less expensive sport kite and it did not set up as easy nor fly as well without alot of fussing with the lines.
Customers say
Customers find the kite fun and engaging to fly. They appreciate its durability, quality, and ease of use. It's a great trainer kite for learning to fly, and it's easy to set up, launch, and control. The kite flies beautifully in 8 knots of breeze and is much easier to fly than their traditional stunt kite.
