Title: Works Great!
Review: Thank God! The wretched AFM 4 cylinder nonsense is deactivated! Installed today in my 2018 Silverado LTZ in less than 30 seconds! Drove it across town to pick up some items I needed, and the truck was smooth, and worked great! No 4 cylinder activation, no herky-jerky transmission shifting as before. The computer dash display for previous 50 mile MPG had increased from 16.8, to 17.4 MPG average by the time I got back home. That was all in-town driving. We'll see how it does long-term. So far it's fantastic!**Update** Still working well after about 1K miles of use. My overall MPG has decreased, but realistically it's mostly due to my lead foot. I have had no issues with any battery drain when sitting for extended periods as reported by others. I went on vacation for three weeks, and the truck fired right up with no problems when I got back home. Honestly, I think it's overpriced, but it really works well, so it's worth it!

Title: Works on 2019 Suburban
Review: I am a professional technician. I have heard all of the horror stories of how the AFM systems on GM 5.3 engines have a high failure rate with the valve train and cam.I don’t want it happening to me. I put the Range on my 2019 Suburban and so far so good. The OnStar still works fine and allows me to control things on my phone as before. It reports all service reminders tire pressure and fuel level as before. Some people said they lost that. Upon further use, I see that there are some diagnostics it fails to report if device is in use. They are emissions, engine trans, abs,airbag,stabiltrac. All you have to do is unplug and go for a 5 min ride and all of this resets. If anything wrong, then have a dealer look at it. I'm not worried about it. I think it will save the cam and lifters in the long run from constantly turning back and forth from 4 cyl to 8 cyl.Best of all it stays in V8 Mode all the time and the lifters cycling all the time stops and should make the engine last a lot longer.

Just takes seconds and you are go to go,went on a 1200 mile road trip the first time I used it worked great.no more 4 cylinder mode and I think it shifts better now to. I have leaf it plug in for days and not run the truck no battery drain. We'll worth the money

Title: Gas Mileage and Battery life
Review: First off the gas mileage does significantly change to the better (keep your foot off the gas peddle to see) meaning stop stomping the gas and driving 80-90 miles per hour. Second the electronics in the product doesn't draw enough power to drain a battery even after a month so that is totally ridiculous that people are saying this. If you have a 2000 and up the electronics they run all the time and it still doesn't drain your battery so... This product is superb for the issues from the engine. The cost could be adjusted to about 150 or so.

Title: Well worth the money
Review: Recently purchased a 2014 Silverado 1500 with the 5.3L engine currently with 199,400 miles .Before the installation the Automatic Fuel Management (AFM) would cycle between 4 cylinder and 8 cylinder mode for no apparent reason putting a strain on the valves and lifters that one could feel though out the vehicle during transition between modes.After installation of the Range AFM-DFM Disabler the vehicle is in 8 cylinder mode constantly.Mileage also has increased from 14.8 mpg to 15.6 according to the instrument cluster.As far as downsides, I've only found one and that is every once in a while it feels like the DFM still wants to kick in. However, that could be due to the high mileage already having caused damage to the valve train.I highly recommend that this be installed on any GM product with the 5.3L engine new or used.

Title: Great product, and service.
Review: I needed one of these and after searching through many different ones I came across this one. It was pretty expensive, but the reviews are great, it was easy to install, so far the durability is great. Seems to perform well, however at night driving the red light it puts off is quite brite. That may be the only thing I am not Fond of.

Review: Hopefully by using this device I will not experience the famous failed lifters which bends pushrods and makes the engine NFG until repairs are done. My friend had his v-8 implode with less than 40,000 miles and he is a mechanic and I know he does his oil changes religiously and maintains his vehicles. Wish I had bought mine earlier.
