Title: Honesty is the best policy.
Review: When I got finally got my mount in after nearly a week and a half. Everything seemed fine. Nothing looked out of the norm. Got the plate mounted to my pistol. Then went to put the Vortex Venom red dot on the mount. Dropped the screws into the holes, the screws would not start at all. Knowing something wasn't right. Took the red dot off and tried to start a screw withiut the red dot on the mount. The screw dropped right into the stripped out hole. The only threads left were on the lip of the bottom angled side of the mount. Someone over tightened this mount and shipped it back not telling the seller it was stripped out and it was resold. I do not blame the seller at all. How would they have known. I sent a note explaining what has happened to this mount. I have been doing gunsmithing for over 30 years. I know not to over torque scope or optic mounts. If the mount itself would have had enough material, I would have just tapped it to the next sized socket head screw. The way Ruger has these machined on the underside with large counter sinks and not solid slab of aluminum. Therefore it would be questionable to try to retap the hole to the next size screw. Do not let this discourage you for ordering for this seller. It is not their fault. Blame the person that sent it back and didn't own up to there mistake. I still gave them 5 stars!!!

Title: Ruger 57 red dot mounting plate.
Review: Mounting plate for red dot, vortex viper on Ruger 57. Made from aluminium, coloured black. Easy to install, comes with two screws to screw plate to Ruger 57. Very happy with the quality of the plate.Excellent value for money and fits fine on the Ruger 57.

Title: Does not fit all Vortex red dots
Review: Ruger has this on its website as an optic mount plate that will fit all Burris and Vortex red dots. The Vortex Defender CCW micro red dot DOES NOT FIT on this mount. The peg that the defender sits in is too far forward so that the screw holes to mount the optic to the plate do not line up. Apart from that, it seems solid, and mounted easily with a torque driver. Note that these come with thread locker already on the screws, per the instructions. I will give it 5 stars as it is not Rugers fault Vortex did not design their Defender correctly.

Title: No problem here!
Review: Received product at first i was very sceptic of if with the bad reviews, DONT BELIEVE THEM! This product is as described, it fits no problem READ the directions! Make sure you use a torque screwdriver thats a must! My guess when it says stripped out some mongo grabbed a Allen and over tightened it! I put a Vortex Venom on absolutely no problem!

Title: Easy to install
Review: It is easy to install however it is not a universal fit with Optics. Need to find out which ones will work with it.

Title: Bought Before, Threads Stripped, Returned to Stock to sell as New or Threads Are Tapped Upside Down
Review: Plate mounts to the slide on the Ruger 57, but when you go to attach the red dot optic, a vortex venom, the threads are incorrect for the mounting of the optic, and the screws provided for the optic that are in the vortex venom box do not thread into the plates holes, and therefore cannot be mounted. The holes are too big because whoever made the plate tapped the thread holes from the wrong surface and so you end up trying to put the screw in threads that are in reverse.Plus, or, The part I received is obviously not "New." The claim is that these parts are being sold as "New," which means they should arrive in the original packaging from Ruger if it is a genuine ruger part, which the Part Numbers match, so it is likely.I received a bare part with the 2 screws in a plastic bag with a suffocation warning on it taped together. Of course when I went to assemble the Vortex Venom Optic to the plate, the screws would not take. Clearly someone else tried mounting a different optic with a different pitch thread and stripped the holes. NOT A NEW PART.

Title: Fit well, but I stripped it
Review: First of all I’ll say that I bought this despite claims that it doesn’t fit. I installed it on a Ruger 5.7 using a Vortex Venom and it fit perfectly. The issue is that is very thin, and even though I was being very careful, I stripped the mount installing the sight. Next time, I’ll go easier and use lock tight.

Review: Had zero issues and went on perfectly!

Customers say

Customers find the gun holster fits well and is easy to install. They say it works as expected and has no issues. However, some customers have reported issues with the screw length and thickness. The screws are too long and there is no room to add a larger diameter screw, leading to vague directions on how to shorten them.
