Love John Wayne westerns? Want to live out the dream? Come to Purple Sage, Texas and try your hand at being a hand! A cowhand, that is. Live as you might have in the late 1800’s. Give us a call if you want to make history come alive.”
Sheri will do whatever it takes to complete her covert mission. When Jeb threatens to blow her cover, she has no choice but to agree to his terms. Jeb has no intention of letting Sheri get away from him, but what lengths will he go to in his attempt to make her his own?
The Purple Sage ranch is the perfect spot for romance to bloom, and Jeb is depending on the fanciful atmosphere to help him in his quest. The only problem is that Sheri seems unwilling to stay still long enough for him to win her heart. In fact, she does everything possible to get herself into danger and mischief at every turn.
It’s a good thing there’s an accepted method of dealing with wayward wives and girlfriends on this very traditional ranch. Sheri agrees to follow all the ranch’s rules and when she doesn’t, it’s Jeb’s job to make her see the error of her ways by taking her over his knee.
Love, laughs, and intrigue flourish as Sheri learns there’s more than one way to complete her mission.

Title: SPOOKS AND KOOKS
Review: I enjoyed this second book in the Purple Sage Ranch series. The story picks up from book one, Sashaâs Surrender, and to be able to understand what all is taking place fully; it would be best to read it first. There is a mystery with suspense, some covert action, plenty of angst, some troublemakers, dominant men and feisty women. The Purple Sage Ranch is a different type of dude ranch experience because it is as primitive as the 1890s to give guest that unique experience.Several of the men, Chaps, Luke, and Jeb, were all employed as covert operatives in various capacities. âSentry Security always had more than its share of misfits, malcontents, and just plain weirdos.â When a former accountant with privy to information, Mr. Parham, starting saying things, many people just considered it part of his Alzheimerâs, but not former operatives. Now he is a full-time resident of the Purple Sage Ranch for his safety, but with protecting him, it opens the door for unsavory characters to start snooping around.Tobin, from Sentry Security, sends in Sheri to plant devices around the ranch, in hopes of keeping everyone safe. Jeb will concoct a story that she is his fiancé to try and keep some people from becoming suspicious of her being there. Now it is his job to keep her at the Purple Sage, and hopefully, this little hellion that stole his heart will develop feelings for him. She will be under his care at the ranch, and that includes him punishing her when she gets out of line or places herself in danger. âGuidance takes a gentle hand. For making something stick together, whatâs needed is a good tight strap.âSheri may leave, but an accident makes it appear she may be in someoneâs sites as a target, and her recuperation will bring her back to Purple Sage, and those who care about her. âI would have come after you. Thereâs nowhere you could go that I wouldnât come to get you.âThe plot will have Luke and Jeb on alert and try to keep Chaps from knowing what all is happening. Planting electronic devices to be able to track people and locations will be a challenge and one that someone keeps sabotaging. When imminent danger is present, and lives are on the line, these former operatives will kick into high gear for a rescue. The story has plenty of angst, anger, along with some life and death situations. The men are dominant, and the ladies are feisty. There will be plenty of over the knee corrections with no sex scenes, only implied. Determination and persistence will pay off for Jeb when he finally can win his lady love over and join him in marriage.

Review: This is the second book in the series and I found it better if you read the first book to understand the different characters. Sheri works for a security company and goes to the Purple Sage Ranch as Jed's fiancee. The ranch is suppose to bring people who go there back in the 1800s. There was mystery, love, spankings and family. It was a bit confusing at times, but still and enjoyable read.

Title: Second book in this series and I liked it as well as the first
Review: Second book in this series and I liked it as well as the first! Sheri (she works for Sentry Security) has come to Purple Sage on a mission to put in a monitoring system to keep the people - mostly Chaps (the owner) and his wife - on the ranch, safe. She goes in under the pretense of being engaged to Jed which she just found out about when he introduced her to everyone! This had a lot of humor with Jed and Luke at each other all the time. Jed also had a time keeping Sheri in with the 1800's ways, mostly with the way she was to dress! She didn't like to wear dresses and when she did she had jeans or shorts on under them which wasn't keeping with the time period. This book had mystery, suspense, humor, great dialogue, spankings from multiple couples and a great story. You would have to have read the first book to really know what was going on in this one. Get it, its great too! 5 big stars

Title: Fun and love on old fashioned ranch...with a twist!
Review: Welcome back to The Purple Sage Ranch. Sheri's mission can be read as a standalone or as part of the series, but I did find reading book one made it easier to understand. I found parts of the story confusing between the gaps in time and the fun of Sheri balancing her covert mission with daily life on the ranch. However, I recommend reading this fun book that was filled with mystery, intrigue, spy games, friendships, laughs, spankings, and love in the air. This old fashioned settings is just the place to enjoy watching the wonderful characters of Jeb and Sheri maneuver the road to love. Fun and enjoyable read! I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
